Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna! Jaya Shri Guru Parampara! Pranams!
There's an old saying: "you can't start a fire without a spark." But really, you need more than a spark. You need fuel and oxygen, too. In fact, you need fuel and oxygen, in addition to heat, to get even a spark.
In the same way, the Vedas describe that the three main facilitators of the great forest fire of material existence which has been burning in our hearts from time immemorial are lust, anger and greed. If we try to gradually reduce and eradicate them by the chanting of the Holy Names of Nityananda, Gauranga and Hare Krishna, then we become eligible for liberation and entry into the spiritual world. The more we indulge in them, we end up preparing the soul for transmigration into the lower painful species of life.
In this world, lust is considered a virtue and the more lusty one is, one becomes more famous. But at the time of death, we will realize that our lust will only take us to into oblivion in the 8.4 million species of life.
Daaso'smi, Swami Gaurangapada.
