Evidence for Gauranga avatara

Once I saw a page in this site with quotes from different Puranas corroborating Sri Caitanya as  an avatara. Could you give me the link for that?

Re: Shri Shri Gaura Gadadhara and Bhagavatam

Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna! Jaya Shri Guru Parampara! Pranams!   Thank you. I forgot to mention that the main specific characteristic of Lord Gaura's hearing Shrimad Bhagavatam from Shrila Gadadhara in Shri Tota Gopinatha Temple is that the deep meditation of Lord Gauraanga on the verses of the Shrimad Bhagavatam is imbued and tinged with His consciousness of the three internal reasons for His advent i.e. Radha Bhava. Shrila Gadadhara Pandita is Shrimati Radha Herself and Shrimad Bhagavatam's original reciter Shrila Shukadeva is the divine parrot of Shrimati Radha so one cannot even imagine how sublime this recitation of Shrimad Bhagavatam by Shrila Gadadhara Pandita is with Lord Gaura (combined form of Shri Shri Radha Krishna) hearing it. It is perhaps even more sublime that the original recitation of Shrimad Bhagavatam itself.

Lord Nitaai and the thieves

Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna! Jaya Shri Guru Parampara! Pranams!   Today when I was chanting Nityaananda, Gauraanga and Hare Krishna Naama, the pastime of Lord Nitaai and the thieves arose in my mind. As I was chanting, I was happy to meditate on Lord Nitaai sitting opulently in the house of Shrila Hiranya Pandita and deeply absorbed in pure love for Lord Gaura. When I chanted Gauraanga and Hare Krishna Naama, I could see Lord Nitaai absorbed in the thoughts of His Lord Gaura Krishna. When I changed Nityaananda Naama, I could hear the leader of the thieves planning to steal the gold ornaments and paraphernalia of Lord Nitaai outside the house. The Holy Names are so powerful. As one advances in Naama Bhajana, one can switch one's focus on any pastime one wants to remember during Naama Bhajana. One can also see a pastime within a pastime while chanting and it proceeds in relation to the Holy Names being vibrated by the tongue. As all of the pastimes of the Lord are eternal and ever-existing, They can instantly manifest in their true glory any time before the chanter whenever desired. One should gradually try to reach this stage of spontaneous recollection of the Lord's Holy Pastimes during Naama Bhajana. Before this stage, it keeps on becoming easier and easier to remember His pastimes while chanting as one practices it (svecchaa purvika). One needs a certain level of purity of thought, word, food and deed to advance in this recollection. I find it very useful to chant audibly instead of silently when the recollection of the pastimes of the Lord is weaker during Naama Bhajana. Audible chanting reinforces our remembrance during this time.

Daaso'smi, Swami Gaurangapada.

Re: Greatest Vaishnava

A conversation of  Guru Maharaj Prabhupada and Srila Sridhara Maharaj.

Sridhara Maharaja: It has been already described by Sanatana Gosvami in Bhad-Bhagavatamatam. After crossing Brahmaloka,
Prabhupada: There is Mahesa-dhama, in between.
Sridhara Maharaja: Mahesa-dhama. And the devotee, Siva is devotee.
Prabhupada: Yes, everyone is... Siva's devotional prayer is there in Fourth Canto, about the four sons. What are those?
Sridhara Maharaja: Devi-dhama. Viraja to viraja, nirvisea. The last conception or the highest conception of Devi-dhama is what are the conception of viraja; prakti ends there... Then begins...
Prabhupada: Karana, karanarnava.
Sridhara Maharaja: Karana, karanarnava. Then it begins Brahmaloka, the halo of the spiritual world.
Prabhupada: Effulgence. Yes.
Sridhara Maharaja: Spiritual world. And that is also some, some, somewhat nirvisea. And then, after crossing that, the Siva is on the other, higher side or he is in lower side. That is differentiation...
Prabhupada: Siva is...
Sridhara Maharaja: Differentiation on two sides is Siva. This side also, Master of Devi, and this side also. He is searching after something and when the differentiated world ends in Brahmaloka, there also Siva is devotee. This side, Siva is a yog. He's searching after. And then, there, he's going to meet Narayaa, to face (indistinct).
Prabhupada: Both sides, he's a devotee.
Sridhara Maharaja: This side, he's not such a devotee. But that is pure devotee on the other side, Vaikuntha.
Prabhupada: Ah. Sadasiva.
Sridhara Maharaja: Sadasiva, Maha-visnu. On the other side, he's a devotee. Vaisnavanam yath sambhuh.
Prabhupada: Maha-visnu and Sadasiva, the same.
Sridhara Maharaja: Same.
Prabhupda: Advaitacarya.
Sridhara Maharaja: Advaitacarya. On the other side. and this side, sometimes revolving. The other day, I told a gentlemen that iva is rather the leader of the opposition party.
Prabhupada: Yes, in Daksa-yajna, that is the curse.
Sridhara Maharaja: In Daka-yajna and in many a place, many demons is encouraged by him. We find.
Prabhupada: But when Pracetas, Pracetas, they met Siva...
Sridhara Maharaja: That, that is that Siva, devotee Siva.
Prabhupada: Oh, they...
Sridhara Maharaja: Markandeya also in Bhagavatam, Markandeya worshiped Siva. But that is the devotee Siva. It is clearly mentioned in Bhagavatam. Markandeya's worshiping Siva. But that Siva is the pure devotee of Narayana.
Prabhupada: Pracetas, Siva, the Pracetas met in this material world or in the spiritual world? They met in the material world.
Sridhara Maharaja: I can't remember that particular... But Siva, this side also Siva, in the nirvisea, on the lower side of the nirvisesa is also Siva, and the higher side of the nirvisea is also Siva. Then Narayana.
Prabhupada: Here, he's Bhutanatha, leaders of the atheistic-class of men.
Srdhara Maharaja: Atheistic class. And his paraphernalia is Nandibhgi, bhta, and his, and his eldest son is Vinyaka, and he misguided... The leader of the misguided, Vinayaka, Gaesa.
Prabhupada: Oh, Vinayaka. Vi-gata...
Sridhara Maharaja: Vinayaka. Not proper nayaka. Vikta-nayakah.
Prabhupada: Vikta-nayaka.
Sridhara Maharaja: Vinayanikapamode-suddha-prabhu,
(?) that are protected by Krsna, and they, they...
Prabhupada: But in Brahma-samhita Ganesa is described: vighna-nasa.
Sridhara Maharaja: Vighna-nasa, but with the help of Nrsimhadeva on his kumbha.
Prabhupda: Oh, I see. Yat-pada-pallava-yuga vinidhaya.
Sridhara Maharaja: With the help of His lotus feet, he's able to... Otherwise, he's Vinayaka.
Prabhupada: (laughs) Vinayaka. Ganesa.
Sridhara Maharaja: (Bengali) posasas ca...
Prabhupda: Misleader.
Sridhara Maharaja: Misleader, misguider, Ganesa, his eldest son. And he give support, Siva. Just as C.R. Das, he encouraged the Subash Bose and the other members of opposition party but he himself was a little common person.

Prabhupada: (Maha-visnu and Sadasiva, the same)

lowerthanarat: "Now I was still confused." as to the position of Lord Shiva is he demigod or more then that

Srila Sridhara Maharaj also said Lord Shiva is always looking for something, and chanting the holy names, but Lord Visnu is complete in him self, and not looking; meaning Lord Visnu was the number one.

Alway seeking the mercy of Sri Guru Gauranga and the viaisnavas

Re: Shri Shri Gaura Gadadhara and Bhagavatam

Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krsna!

Dear Gurudeva,

Thank you for sharing your personal Naam Bhajan. To hear the glories of Naam Prabhu is very nectar, and helpful in my own bhajan and aspiration for service to His Holy feet.

The nectar of devotion is so simple and sweet. I am really humbled to hear of Sri Bhaktidevi's nectar. Sri Gaura's tears washing Sri Gadadhara's sacred cloth is exquisite.

Srila Gurupada was right....Naam...Naam....Naam....what a gracious soul he must have been. Thank you.

y.s. Nava.

Re: NITAI MORA JIVANA

Nityaananda! Gauraanga! Hare Krishna!

Dear Srila Swami Gaurangapada and devotees,

Dandavats. Pranams. Jaya Srila Prabhupada! Jaya Shri Guru Parampara! Jaya Nityananda Prabhu!

Here is another feeble attempt of mine to glorify Lord Nitai. Of course all credit goes to Srila Narottama dasa Thakura, who is one of the most oustanding acariyas in our Gaudiya Vaishnava parampara. The songs is his, you all know it smile

Manah Siksha (Teachings to the mind) or NITAAI PADA KAMALA

The shelter of Lord Nitais feet more cooling than a crore of moons
The world is being pacified with supermost of all lifes boons
Shri Radha Krishnas service is available to one and all
Provided Nityanandas mercys there and His holy name is called

The human birth of person is going on pathetically in vain
If he has no relationship with Nitai, thus merely hell remain
A two-legged animal, most wretched and condemned
As long as he or she Lord Nitais name wont chant

In happiness transitory absorbed indeed are they
Aristocratic birth and educations really, what to say,
A heavy burden which their egoistic pridell enhance
And makes them mad with vanity, devoid of all good sense.

Lord Nityanandas mercy makes one qualified to enter
The spiritual abode of Shri Vrindavan Dhaam where souls can render
Eternal loving service to the transcendental Youthful Pair
Therefore catch hold of Nitais feet with no despair

The lotus feet of Nityananda are everfresh, eternal Truth
The servants of these holy feet most certainly uproot
The misery of those who hold to them as tightly as they could
Thus Narottam is praying humbly, and similarly we all should

Jaya Nitai! Jaya Nitai! Jaya Nitai! Jay Shri Nitai!

Your humble servant: Sarvabhauma das
