Re: Inner Meaning of Guruji's Prayer

Dear Vaisnavas,

Nityananda Gauranga Hare Krishna! Please accept my respectful obeisances!

Although it is high level devotion that is being discussed here, I couldn't help but write just one thing. Why do devotees want to go to the abode of the Lord? The question wants an explanation from the words of Jiva Gosvami in the Priti Sandarbha. He says that when one can directly see the Lord, seeing him outside the heart is better than seeing him inside the heart. The first is possible in its fullest extent when one is in the Abode of the Lord and the second is possible everywhere and anywhere. But when the Lord is seen outside, then that takes preference over seeing him inside.

      Anuccheda 8

When one directly see the Supreme Personality of  Godhead, seeing Him outside the heart is better than seeing Him within the  heart. In Shrimad-Bhagavatam (12.9.5) it is said:

grihitvajadayo  yasya
    shrimat-padabja-darshanam
manasa yoga-pakvena
    sa bhavan  me 'kshi-gocarah

"O Lord whom Brahma and the demigods saw in  their hearts advanced in yoga, You have now come before my  eyes."

    Shrila Shridhara Svami comments:

"This verse means:  `O Lord whom Brahma and the demigods saw in their hearts advanced in yoga, You  have now come before my eyes. What boon is greater than this?"

In  Shrimad-Bhagavatam (10.12.12) it is also said:

yat-pada-pamshur  bahu-janma-kricchratah. . .

"Who can estimate the transcendental  fortune of the residents of Vrindavana? They were personally visualizing the  Supreme Personality of Godhead face to face, He whom many yogis cannot find even  after undergoing severe austerities, although He is sitting within the  heart."*

In Shrimad-Bhagavatam (1.6.33) Shrila Narada Muni  says:

pragayatah sva-viryani
    tirtha-padah  priya-shravah
ahuta iva me shighram
    darshanam yati  cetasi

"The Supreme Lord Shri Krishna, whose glories and  activities are pleasing to hear, at once appears on the seat of my heart, as if  called for, as soon as I begin to chant His holy activities."*

Evenb  though can always see the Lord within his heart, Shrila Narada Muni preferred to  see Him outside the heart. This In described in these words of  Shrimad-Bhagavatam  (11.2.1):

govinda-bhuja-guptayam
    dvaravatyam  kurudvaha
avatsin narado  'bhikshnam
    krishnopasana-lalasah

"Eager to worship Lord  Krishna, Narada stayed, O best of the Kurus, at Dvaraka, which is always  protected by Lord Krishna's arms."

This verse was spoken by  Markandeya Muni to Shri Narayana Rishi.

I saw this only yesterday just while flipping through various sections of Nitaai Veda. So I thought it was apt to put it here.

Your servant,

Srinath

Wonderful realization of Bhakta Igor

Nityananda ! Gauranga ! Hare Krishna ! A very inspiring realization of Bhakta Igor. Unexpected Realization
By Bhakta Igor

Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna!
All glories to Swami Gaurangapada! All glories to Shrilla Prabhupada! All Glories to Guru Parampara! All glories to most glorious and merciful Nityananda Naam and most confidentional and sublime Gauranga Naam!

I want to share one most wonderful experience that happened to me this morning. I hesitated to write about that but I decide to tell my experiencein order to glorify chanting of Nityananda and Gauranga Mantrarajas and Swami Gaurangapada. I must say that for long time (for more thet 15 years) I was trying to chant and hear Hare Krishna Maha Mantra, and follow rules andregulations, but for all that years I did not feel even one drop of taste for chanting? Chanting was just duty, more or less mechanical routine whilemy mind or senses were occupied with something else. I also must say that I was amazed when I had read Naam realizations on forum from Swami Gaurangapada and recently Nava Gauranga, I even in one moment thought Is this really so? Is this possible? I have some theoretichal knowledge and positiveanswer in my hearth, but no realization.
I hesitated to write about that, but I must tell what happened only to cry out glories of chanting Nityananda and Gauranga Mantrarajas.

This morning I chanted 16 rounds of Nityananda and 16 rounds of Gauranga Mantrarajas ( I am chanting little more then standard 10 rounds in chanting table) in front of Shri Shri Nityananda Gauranga and soon after I started to chant Hare Krishna Maha Mantra my mind become one-pointed and focused. That was not product of my mental efforts, that causeless mercy just appeared and I started to chant Hare Krishna without distraction and feel so blissful and calm at the same time. It is hard to me to describe it properly, but for moment there was nothing but Holy Name.

I pronounced syllables of mantra without any effort or anxious concentration and maybe most accurate description will be complete self-forgetfulness. Suddenly, in next moment in my mind, appeared most beautiful picture in wide forest playing field cowherd boys was sitting around Lord Balarama and Lord Krishna, who enjoyed in wonderful atmosphere of Vrindavana. Itis hard to me to explain that experience. Picture was very vivid and in that moment I was continuously chanting Maha Mantra while watching that most beautiful scene. Lord Balarama was sitting on left, dressed in wonderful blue garments with blue turban on His head. His complexion was white and manycowherd boys were sitting near Him. Actually, I was watching that scene from left distance side cowherd boys and Lord Balarama. At same time I was feeling presence of Lord Krishna and other half of cowherd boys on right side, but my vision was focused on Lord Balarama and His associates. I continued to chant and chant and while chanting Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare I felt very blissfully and happy. I just remember that I thought in that moment Oh here is my Lord Balarama, Haladhara, He is strongest off all and most powerful!

In next moment complete scene changed I saw Lord Nityananda Prabhu sitting on stone throne dressed in blue garments. He placed His lotos feet on head of devotee who was prostrated before Him in dandavat. His right lotus foot was placed on devotees head and His right hand was above knee with open palm and directed toward me. I was chanting and simultaneously, I thought All glories to Most Mercifull Nityananda Prabhu! Vrajendra nandana yei saci suta hoilo sei balarama hoilo nitai! Somehow or other those words appeared in my mind while I was looking at this most beautiful scene.
I continued to chant and after some moments I become aware of my surroundings, time and place. I felt happiness that can not be compared with some material thing or sensation. I was bewildered because I had never experience anything like that.

Automatically I know that was mercy of chanting Nityananda and GaurangaMantraraja, but that was not all. Few days ago I asked Swami Gaurangapada to please give me his blessings so that I can chant nicely because I know that by my effords it is immposiable for me to chant nicely. Out of his causeless mercy he gave me his blessings for Naam Bhajan. Dear Swami Gaurangapada, I am falling down before your lotus feet in great joy and happiness because such small realization happened to this fool only because you gave me your blessings. I am completely aware of that fact and I am writing this realization only to glorify you and to inspire all readers of forum please chant Nityananda Gauranga and your life will become perfect and sublime. If you have any doubts please just chant and soon you will know siddhantha within your hearth. Please just chant Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna!

Bhakta Igor.

Re: Inner Meaning of Guruji's Prayer

Nityananda Gauranga Hare Krishna!

Thank you Guruji, now I understand. You reach out and pray for further development to the stage of highest loving association rather than praying for liberation from the cycle of birth and death. You didnt mean to say going away from material pain but you meant to say: going towards the highest plane of transcendental pleasure. Thank you.

What is the specified meaning of the dhamas?

Hare Krishna
I offer dandavat pranam to you srila sadhu swami gaurangapada and all the vaishnavas of the sanga
I m writing for the first time, I m very gratefull to have the possibility to ask questions and have access to this sanga.

I would like to inquire about the meaning of the three dhamas Vrindavana, Navadvipa and Puri.

As far as I have heard Navadvip is Vrindavana from a little different perspective. All the lilas in Vrindavana can also be seen
in the mood of Navadvip. There is the Gaur-Govinda Arati where Bhaktivinoda Thakur sings how the worship of gaur gadhadar
becomes the worship of Radha Krishna.
Could you please explain the right understanding of this point and how the mood of the dhamas differ from each other in the
worship gaur gadhadar and Radha Krishna?

I have heard that in Navadvip more audaria is present, what does audaria mean within the lila?

It is sayed, when Mahaprabhu stayed in Puri he saw Vrindavana. Does this mean Puri is part of Goloka and just like Navadvip a different perspective
of the Vrindavana Lilas. Or does Puri more refer to Dvarka, because Jagannath has a form of more opulence? Is there in the
Nitya Lila of Puri Mahaprabhu present?
How does the dhamas refer to each other in the nitya sphere?

It is sayed that Krishna never leaves Vrindavana. So in this point I dont understand whow the returning of Jagannath to Vrindavana can be there in the Nitya Lila of
Krishna. Could you please resolve this problem?

If you could say a little bit about these topics it would be very nice. Please excuse the foults in english.
Thank you
Fabian

Re: Virabhadra Goswami's mercy of Nityananda Gauranga Naam

Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna!

Shrila Krishnadasa Kaviraja Goswami writes in Chaitanya Charitamrita, Adi-Lila, Chapter 11, Verse 10:

adyāpi yāńhāra kṛpā-mahimā ha-ite
caitanya-nityānanda gāya sakala jagate

"It is by the glorious mercy of Śrī Vīrabhadra Gosāi that people all over the world now have the chance to chant the names of Caitanya and Nityānanda."

Maybe You could shed Your illuminating realizations on this subject matter :-)

Thank You very much

Yours,
Matus

Re: Inner Meaning of Guruji's Prayer

Dear Hadai, Nityaananda! Gauraanga! Hare Krishna!  I have already explained this earlier. Even though one may be fully transcendental to the miseries of this material world and situated even on the platform of Prema Bhakti while living in this material world, we still need eternal residence in the spiritual world of Goloka to continuously render devotional service to Lord Gaura Krishna in the seven advanced stages of Prema Bhakti like pranaya (love that avoids respect), sneha (melting of the heart), mana (hidingof love by crooked means), raga  (attachment), anuraga (further attachment), bhava (ecstacy) and maha-bhava (great ecstacy), because the environment of the aprakrita unmanifested Goloka is fully conducive for service in the ashta kaliya lilaa or the eight-fold daily pastimes of the Lord which are eternally being performed there. So simply becoming a transcendental resident of this material world is not enough, one should intensely endeavor to go to Goloka, the topmost spiritual planet, in order to render the highest uninterrupted service to the Lord. I am not asking my Shrila Parama Gurudeva for simply liberation from material bondage. No more births means that I want to attain the Lord's nitya-lilaa in Goloka, which is the highest loving association one can possibly desire to attain in this creation.

Daaso'smi, BR Sadhu Swami Gaurangapada.

Inner Meaning of Guruji's Prayer

Nityananda Gauranga Hare Krishna!

Dear Guruji, please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to the guru parampara. All glories to Gaura Nitaai. All glories to Sri Sri Radha Govinda.

Guruji please forgive me for asking: for a while we have been reading your statements at the top of the homepage of the forum. You make there two statements that seem to contradict each other.

At first you say: “Today I realized how one remains transcendental in the association of advanced devotees, unaffected by the surrounding material influences and distractions.”

Then you say: “Today as I was chanting in Shrila Bhaktisiddhanta Prabhupada's Samadhi in Mayapura, I desperately prayed to him to ensure that I will not take any more births in this painful material world.”

I do not understand why you ask for liberation from this ‘painful material world’ while you know how to remain transcendental to its influences? Also, as far as my limited understanding goes, does the devotee not rather beg and pray for the Lord’s and His devotees’ loving association rather than praying for the circumstances in which that might be? Please be so kind to enlighten us with the inner meaning of what you are praying for.

Your servant,

Hadai Nityananda dasa

Nityananda Gauranga Hare Krishna!
