New Micro Discussion Blog

Dear Devotees, Nityaananda! Gauraanga! Jaya Shri Guru Parampara!  A new Micro-Discussion Blog has been released at NITAAI.net/Blog in addition to our main NITAAI.com Forums in order to especially facilitate the micro (paragraph) level threaded commenting by text/audio/video on individual paragraphs of any spiritual article. Please logout of the Forums once and login again and you will be automatically logged in to this Blog with your same Forum username and password. New Member Registration is enabled only on the Forums and not on this Blog since new forum members will automatically be added as blog members also.

The micro-discussion feature is a great boon to specifically comment (drill down) on and discuss specific quotes (sections) in an article by the Acharyas' for our greater enlightenment.

Each post here should contain small paragraphs instead of big ones so that the text in each paragraph can be specifically discussed in the comments to that paragraph. IMP: Press the "enter" key two times to separate every two paragraphs in your post with an empty line space. The paragraph commenting will not work otherwise.

You have to click on the small grey balloon on the right of each paragraph on any post page and then comment on that specific paragraph by text/audio/video via the middle comment box. To comment on the whole post instead of a specific paragraph in a post, please click on the balloon on the right of the post title on the top.

Please record your video comment by sitting in the left corner of your webcam screen since the middle comments frame is small in width and thus does not display the full width of the video player.

Daaso'smi, Swami Gaurangapada.

Shrila Govinda Ghosh Disapperance

Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna!

Today is the disappearance day of Shrila Govinda Ghosh here in Switzerland. It is very important to remember the glories transcendental qualities of the associates of Lords Nityananda Gauranga on such days, as They are very powerful and grant us the access into Nityananda Gauranga Naam and Lila. Shri Devakinandana dasa says also in His famous song:

brahmanda tarite shakti dhare jane jane
e veda purane guna gaya jeva shune

"I have heard their glorification (of Lord Gauranga's devotees) in the Vedas and Puranas, which proclaim that each one of His devotees has the shakti to deliver an entire universe."

The Ghosh brothers, namely Govinda, Madhava and Vasudava, were great singers and Lords Nityananda Gauranga would very much delight in dancing to the sweet and ecstatic kirtana of Govinda, Madhava and Vasudeva Ghosh. Shri Chaitanya Charitamrita 1.15.115: "Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Nityananda Prabhu danced to the kirtan of the three brothers, Govinda, Madhava and Vasudeva".

In Krishna-lila They are gopis: "Govinda, Madhava and Vasudeva were three gopis in Vraja, namely Kalavati, Rasollasa and Gunatunga, who used to sing the songs composed by Vishakha." (Gaura-ganoddesha-dipika 188)

Shrila Govinda Ghosh also composed 2 very beautiful nectarean songs about Lord Gauranga and the situation of Navadvipa and the sorrowful condition of the bhaktas there when Mahaprabhu left Navadvipa. The same feelings of separation which the Vrajavasis felt when Krishna left Vrindavana is being felt by the Navadvipa-vasis when Their beloved Lord Gaurahari is leaving Them. Oh Lord, when i will be able to join Them in Their crying of not seeing Lord Gauranga's face and having His sweet association?

One of the songs, which i like very much goes as follows:

hede re nadiya vasi kara mukha cao
bahu pasariya goracande phirao
to sabare ke ara karibe nija kore
ke jaciya dibe prema dekhiya katare
ki shela hiyaya haya ki shel hiyaya
parana putali nabadvipa charii jaya
ara na jaiba mora gaurangera pasha
ara na kariba mora kirtana vilasa
kandaye bhakata-gana buka vidariya
pashana govinda ghosha na jaya miliya

"O people of Nabadwip, at whom are you staring? Spread your arms to stop Gora, make him come back! Who is there now who will clasp you to his chest? Who will come and beg you to take love of Krishna? A shaft has pierced my heart! A shaft has pierced my heart! The image of my life has abandoned Nabadwip and gone. No longer will we be able to go and sit with Gauranga; no longer will we be able to enjoy kirtan the way we did. All the devotees are crying; their hearts are bursting and, like a stone, Govinda Ghosh does not go to join them."

So beautiful, isn't it? i sang and recorded that song for You. i kindly ask You to sing with me and cry in Your heart for the association of Lord Gaurahari smile

Your fallen servant,
Matus

Sri Nityananda Prabhu Never Gets Angry

Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna!
Dandavats and obeissances.

AKRODHA PARAMANANDA NTTYANANDA RAYA

Sri Nityananda Prabhu Never Gets Angry
By Srila Locana dasa Thakura

akrodha paramananda nityananda raya
abhimana shunya nitai nagare bedaya

adhama patita jivera dware dware giya
harinama maha mantra dena bilaiya

jare dekhe tare kahe dante trina dhori'
amare kiniya laha bhaja gaurahari

eta boli' nityananda bhume gadi jaya
sonara parvata jena dhulate lotaya

hena avatare jara rati na janmilo
locana bole sei papi elo ara gelo

TRANSLATION

1. Lord Nityananda Raya never gets angry. He is always in ecstasy, supreme bliss. He has no false ego. He wanders to every town and village in Nadia chanting Hare Krishna, dancing, and offering krsna-prema (love of Krishna) to everyone indiscriminately.

2. Sri Nitai goes to every doorstep and knocks on the door, 'Tap! Tap!Tap!' He goes to those who are very much distressed, degraded, and fallen. He goes to them and gives them krsna-prema. He says, "Please Chant! Please Chant! ": hare krishna, hare krishna, krishna Krishna, hare hare / hare rama, hare rama, rama rama, hare hare.  If they do not chant and shut the door, then He rolls there on the ground and cries!

3. Whomever He meets, catching a straw between His teeth, He begs, "0 Brothers! Please do the bhajana of Sri Gaurahari and purchase Me, purchase Me, purchase Me."

4. Saying this, Lord Nityananda rolls on the ground in the dust, cries, and sheds tears, looking like a mountain of gold rolling on the ground.

5. Such a merciful incarnation is Lord Nityananda. If someone doesn't develop love for such an incarnation as Sri Nityananda-Rama, Locana says, "Such a sinful person wastes his life, remaining in the cycle of birth and death. He cannot be delivered."

Re: Question about Videos of blip.tv

Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna! Jaya Shri Guru Parampara! Pranams! Dear Jagannatha Gauranga dasa, It is because Blip.tv has not converted the WMC-VC1 or the x264 MP4 videos to FLV properly. I wrote to them and they did not have a solution. Below these videos is a drop-down box. You can select and view them in their original format and they should show up properly. You may need to install the WMP Firefox plugin to view the WMVs directly. And for the MP4s, you will need to have QuickTime installed. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you need any further help.

Humbled at the Ocean of Lord Gauranga's Love

Nityananda Gauranga Hare Krishna!

Dear Guruji and devotees,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to the guru Parampara. All glories to Sri Sri Nityananda Gauranga. All glories to Sri Sri Radha Govinda. All glories to the assembled devotees.

In Navadvipa dhama mahatmya written by Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura it is said:

Shri Chaitanya's incarnation is most uncommon. By His mercy, a serious person, though filled with offenses, can quickly obtain love of God. When someone calls out the names of Nitai and Chaitanya, krishna-prema comes looking for him. Offenses do not hinder his progress, and he soon sheds tears of ecstasy out of pure love of God. By the mercy of Lord Chaitanya, all the offenses quickly flee away, the heart becomes pure, and love of God fully blossoms. Because people in Kali-yuga commit unlimited offenses, which are difficult to check, there can be no means of deliverance other than Gauranga's name. Therefore, in Kali-yuga, I see no alternative to Shri Gauranga. This is also the proclamation of the scriptures.

After Lord Gauranga completed His pastimes on earth His obedient servant Mayadevi, understood the desire of the Lord. She lifted the veil of illusion from the eyes of the living entities and revealed the true nature of Shri Gauranga within this material universe.

However, Lord Gauranga revealed these confidential topics already while still present on earth to His intimate devotees. One of the first disclosures about the full extent of His mercy as Lord Gauranga is when He explains to Srivas Prabhu how He is going to protect His dear devotee. As Krishna, He protected His devotees by killing the demons and by merging their souls into the impersonal light of His radiation. As Gauranga He goes way beyond that. He does not kill the evil minded enemies of the devotees, instead he delivers them by inducing them with the highest Gift of all gifts: ecstatic love for God. This utmost mercy is incomprehensible mind-blowing. And we are so fortunate to live on a planet that is so recently touched by His merciful feet guaranteeing that all souls of this universe will be delivered. Even those who are against Him will fall in Love and cry for Krishna. Listen how Lord Gauranga ran to the house of Srivas when the rumor went that the king had sent two boots to Navadvip in order to arrest Srivas Prabhu. When you read the following passages of the Chaitanya Bhagavata Madhya Lila chapter 2, keep in mind that Srivas is the divine incarnation of the marginal energy of the Lord with which we can identify ourselves so easy since we are coming from that same energy:

Oh Srivas, are you afraid of something? News has reached Me that the government men want to capture you, and they have come with two boats. I am the Supersoul within everyone's heart; I control and direct everyone's activities according to My sweet will. The king can only capture you if I, being situated in his heart, prompt him to do so. Yet, for some reason, if he acts independently and gives the order to capture you, then I will do the following: I will be the first to step into the boat and present Myself before the king. On seeing Me do you think that he will still remain sitting on the throne? I will delude him and take control of him. If the king evades this move of mine, then I have another alternative. I will tell the king, 'Listen to the truth, oh king. Call all of your religious heads and judges to come to the court. Collect all of your elephants, horses, animals, and birds, etc. Whatever you have, bring them to your place. Then order all of your Kazi priests to read from your scriptures and inspire every listener to such a state of spiritual emotion that they begin to cry.' If they fail to do so, then I will reveal my true identity to the king.

By the way here the Lord explains simultaneously that the highest religion is the one that can establish such an intimate relationship of the living entity with the Lord that such a state of spiritual emotion is reached that one starts to cry.

Then I will say, 'Oh king, on the instructions of these same Kazi priests, whose spiritual powers we have already witnessed, you want to forbid the congregational chanting of the holy name of God? Now you shall see My power to the full satisfaction of your eyes. I will capture a mad elephant and bring him here, along with other elephants, horses, deer and other animals, and make them all cry in ecstasy and chant Krishna's name.' I will make the king and all his men cry and chant Krishna's name.

Lord Gauranga in His causeless mercy will make the devotees enemy cry of Love for God. He doesnt kill, He doesnt give the king ordinary liberation by merging his soul into the brahmayoti, no He gives him Love for God. In order to fully console His devotee Lord Gauranga says to Srivas:

I know that you don't believe that it is possible, but I will show you right now and you can see for yourself. The Lord noticed a small girl, who was the daughter of Srivas Pandit's brother, named Narayani. Lord Gaurachandra, the Supreme Godhead, the Supersoul within everyone's heart, ordered the little girl, "Narayani! Chant Krishna's name and cry in ecstasy." The four-year-old girl became extremely agitated with ecstatic spiritual emotions and cried out, "Oh Krishna!" She began to weep, losing all perception of the external world. Tears streamed down her body, and she fell to the ground. Smiling, Lord Visvambhar asked Srivas, "Are your fears pacified now?" Vaisnavas will remember for many years to come how Narayani was a recipient of the Lord's mercy.

This same Lord Gaurangas feet have touched this planet only a few hundred years ago. All living entities are sanctified just by touching the dust of this planet. Friend and enemy receive the highest Gift of all gifts: Love for God. The demigods envy the living entities on this planet who are given a free-pass to engage into such an intimate relationship with the Lord. Just by chanting Nityananda and Gauranga, even just once, mountains of sins are burned to ashes and Krishna Prema comes looking for us. And when we are somehow not able to receive it immediately, the Lord will find ways until our hearts melt and until we cry of Love for Krishna. The Lord truly came to engage all of us. And those who seem not to be engaged yet, just wait and see how all the souls of our entire universe will be transported to the highest destination. No single ant will be left behind because through Lord Gauranga even the animals cry for love for Krishna. Who can understand such a Love? Who can understand that the cries of Lord Advaita and Srivas have saved all of us?

I pray to Lord Nityananda and Lord Gauranga that They allow this insignificant soul to be a particle of dust at Their lotus feet to continue to witness this most wondrous miracle. Oh Lord, we do not have to travel all the way to Your planet, you have brought Your planet here. And now You are drowning us all in Your endless Love.

Humbled at the ocean of Lord Gaurangas Love and begging for the mercy of the devotees,

Hadai Nityananda dasa

Nityananda Gauranga Hare Krishna!

Question about Videos of blip.tv

Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna!
Dandavats and obeissances!

Dear Swami Gaurangapada,

I really like how you place your videos on Veoh and Blip tv, it is very convenient and easy to access them. I have found that some times though the audio is the only thing playing and only a white screen is showing. I have tried both Firefox and internet explorer and the same thing happens. I was just wondering if you knew the cause. Not all the videos are doing that, just some.

Your servant
Jagannatha Gauranga dasa
