Re: Query from Nityananda Gauraanga Naam book

Here it says the acharyas descended directly from the spiritual world. Does this mean that Bhaktivinod Thankur, Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati and Shrila Prabhupada all had descended directly from the spiritual world?

Yes, absolutely.

Here it says that They reward us with the realization of their own forms. Can someone please explain this in more detail. I am not being able to understand this.

Here realization means the darshana or the direct vision of Their divine forms of Lords Nityaananda and Gauraanga with spiritual eyes awarded to us by Them which were decorated with the ointment of pure love.

Re: Brahma and Vairaja Brahma

It is described by Shrila Rupa Goswami in Laghu Bhagavatamrita Chp 2: "Four-headed Vairaja Brahma appears in order to create the material universe and perform other duties. Sometimes Lord Vishnu Himself becomes Brahma and creates the universe." Vairaja is derived from the  Sanskrit word of viraj meaning the widely shining one. Vairaja, in general, also applies to the class of sages and demigods directly emanating from Brahma in his aspect of creator collectively as Viraj like for example the kumaras, manasaputras, agnishvattas etc. So actually the Vairaja Brahma residing at Mount Meru is the original creator of the universe and the Satyaloka Brahma is his expansion. Therefore the demigods directly approach the Vairaja Brahma at Mount Meru for this important request of directly approaching the Lord.

Re: Soma the Deity of the Mind

Let's say per one's birth reading, one is predicted to be reborn as a human being, can he take to devotional service and go to the spiritual world immediately after his death?

Absolutely. Success in devotional service and attainment of Goloka is fully independant and transcendental as it is solely dependant on the causeless mercy of Lord Gaura Krishna and thus it cannot be fully predicted by astrological charts. Hadai has answered your other questions very nicely.

Re: Do we actually get liberation immediately after death ?

Here it has been stated that after death a person is first transfered to another material planet where Lord Krishna's past times are going on before he can go to Goloka Vrindavan. Does this mean that we don't get liberation immediately after death and we first have to go to the material world where Lord Krishna's past times are going on?

Yes, it does. But wherever Lord Gaura Krishna's Pastimes are going on, even in this material creation, is no longer a material environment because the Lord brings His eternal abode with Him when He descends here to perform His pastimes. It is verily a replica of Goloka so we have nothing to worry.

Similarly does this also mean that after death we don't immediately goto Goloka Navadvipa as we first might have to go to a material planet where Lord Nitaai and Lord Gaura's pasttimes are going on?

It ultimately depends on the desire of the Lord. He may take us directly also if He wishes to do so.

Re: Devotees

Do the Lord's eternal associates incarnate in other species of life to lead persons to devotional service?

Very rarely. For that, the Lord has to incarnate Himself in those species.

Do they incarnate in the demigods society or lower planetary systems like they do in human society?

Yes, but again not as frequently as on Bhurloka because earth is considered to be the most suitable and conducive for self-realization due to the balanced measure of happiness and misery (not too much in both cases). In the heavenly planets, the material opulence is so much that one tends to forget Bhakti easily and in the hellish planets, the pain and suffering is so much that it is quite difficult to remember the Lord.

Also we know that Bali and Prahlada Maharaja are great devotees of the Lord who live amongst demons. Wouldn' t Bali and Prahlada's association change these demons to the point where they are no longer abominable, but great devotees themselves, and they would therefore cease being demons? I am curious as to what kind of demonic lifestyle they could live being around great devotees like Bali and Prahlada.

Shrila Bali Maharaja lives with Lord Vamanadeva in a lower planet known as Sutala loka which is even more opulent than the higher planetary systems. All those born in rakshasha families but having a chance to associate with Shrila Bali while staying in Sutala Loka are no longer demons but devotees. The great devotees even though born in demoniac families do not stay with demons and don't have any kind of connection or association with their demoniac habits. They turn the toughest demons into devotees of the Lord by their merciful association if the demons are fortunate to come in contact with their holy association.

Re: Several spiritual bodies in Goloka Vrindavan?

Is it possible upon realization of siddha-deha that a soul can express itself with several spritual bodies in Goloka Vrindavan? For example as a cowherd boy and parental affection etc...

No. One can have only one siddha deha in Vraja and/or one siddha deha in Navadvipa-Puri within Goloka.

Or, would that just be mixed bhava's. How can the soul express it's fullest desires with such a mixing?

Each of the five kinds of relationships with the Lord can be tinged with any of the others but there is one pre-dominant mood and relationship which remains the primary one for each Associate of the Lord. For example, the priya-narma sakhas (friends) like Subala and Madhumangala are more absorbed in the conjugal pastimes of Shri Shri Radha Krishna, than even their fraternal mood of friendship with the Lord.

From neodasa...

Please accept my obeisances.  All glories to Sri Nityaananda and Gauraanga.

I'm new to this forum.  I've been studying the Vedic scriptures via His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada for the past 25 years but still know nothing.  I've never been initiated but I've tried to live with devotees three times but to no avail.  I have so much theoretical knowledge but no real practical application, and so I offer my obeisances to all of you.  Please give me your mercies.

Hare Krsna.

Re: Chanting more than one mantra on our beads...

Dear Thomas, Welcome to NITAAI.com. Thank you for your kind words about our site. It is normally the system that a disciple receives the mala at the time of initiation after Gurudeva chants on it. If one is receiving all the three Mantras from the same Guru, then the Guru can chant the three Mantras on the same rosary. There is no hard and fast rule against that in the scriptures. Both Lords Nitaai Gaura and Lords Balaraama Krishna are the same Supreme Personalities of Godhead and are totally non-different so Their Names can be chanted on the same Tulasi mala. One may not chant the Mantras of other lower Vishnu Tattvas on the same Tulasi mala as that of the Supreme Lords Krishna or Gaura but Krishna and Gaura are fully non-different and Their Holy Names are too. Also, in the case that one is receiving different Mantras from different Gurus (which is allowed in the scriptures), one will have to chant Them on different malas received from those respective Gurus. I hope this helps. Nityaananda! Gauraanga! Hare Krishna! Pranaams.

Chanting more than one mantra on our beads...

Hare Krsna,

Please accept my obeisances.

I'm new here.

It was my understanding that we shouldn't chant more than one mantra on our mala (rosary), yet I see here you recommend chanting the three mantras: Nityaananda, Gauraanga, and the Hare Krishna mantra all on the same rosary (mala).

Can you please clarify this for me?

Thank you,

Thomas (aka: neodasa)

ps: I love all the photos, videos, forum entries, links, etc.

Re: Several spiritual bodies in Goloka Vrindavan?

Dear Prabhu,

This is a very good question. Recently when I met Swamiji I told him that we are more lucky than even those people who have been eternally livng in Vaikuntha even though they never fell to the material world. I said this because we are destined to go to Vrindavan and Navadvipa which are the highest planets with the highest love. Swamiji told me that we all have a fixed rasa with the Lord and thus living entities in Vaikuntha also have a fixed rasa with their Lord in Vaikuntha and even if they are asked to go to Navadvipa or Vrindavan still they will not be interested as they want to serve the Lord according to their rasa. A good example of this is once Lord Hanuman who went to Vraja but could not fully understand the loving exchanges of Shri Shri Radha and Krishna etc. Thus He immediately went to Ayodhya again. Thus when our relationship is revealed to us we will be interested to serve the Lord only in that relationship and thus become fully satisfied in the constitutional position of our soul.

Sincerely,

Mihir.
