Re: Brahma and Vairaja Brahma
It is described by Shrila Rupa Goswami in Laghu Bhagavatamrita Chp 2: "Four-headed Vairaja Brahma appears in order to create the material universe and perform other duties. Sometimes Lord Vishnu Himself becomes Brahma and creates the universe." Vairaja is derived from the Sanskrit word of viraj meaning the widely shining one. Vairaja, in general, also applies to the class of sages and demigods directly emanating from Brahma in his aspect of creator collectively as Viraj like for example the kumaras, manasaputras, agnishvattas etc. So actually the Vairaja Brahma residing at Mount Meru is the original creator of the universe and the Satyaloka Brahma is his expansion. Therefore the demigods directly approach the Vairaja Brahma at Mount Meru for this important request of directly approaching the Lord.
