Re: Shri Chaitanya Bhagavata Verses about Nitaai Gaura Naama

Dear devotees,

Nityananda Gauranga Hare Krishna! My humble pranams!

Please take a look at some of the additional verses here.

Adi Khanda has few direct references. So I included even indirect ones.

Adi Chapter 1

Text 7 Then I offer my respectful obeisances to Shri Krishna Chaitanya, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. He incarnated the town of Navadvipa, and He is named "Visvambhara".

Indirect mention:
Text 18 Lord Chaitanya becomes a friend and a help to one who hears or sings Lord Nityananda's glories.
Text 19 Siva and Parvati find great bliss in Lord Nityananda. On their tongues are pure and eloquent words glorifying Lord Nityananda.
Text 52 Bearing his stringed instrument, the tumburu, on his shoulders, the great sage Narada Muni always glorifies Lord Ananta. Narada Muni has composed many transcendental verses in praise of the Lord.*
Texts 62-63  If we simply try to engage in the congregational chanting of the glories of Lord Anantadeva, the dirty things in our hearts, accumulated during many births, will immediately be washed away. Therefore a Vaishnava never loses an opportunity to glorify Anantadeva.*
Text 64  Lord Anantadeva is known as Sesha (the unlimited end, because He ends our passage through this material world. Simply by chanting His glories, everyone can be liberated.*
Text 69 To this very day Lord Ananta continues to chant the glories of Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, and still He finds no end to them.*

Text 77 Anyone who desires to cross to the farther shore of the ocean of birth and death, and then dive into the ocean of devotional service, should worship Lord Nityananda Candra.
Text 78 Before the feet of the Vaishnavas I place my my heart's desire: May I worship Lord Balarama birth after birth.
Text 79 As "dvija", "vipra", and "brahmana" are different names for the same kind of person, so the names "Nityananda", "Ananta", and "Baladeva" all refer to the same Supreme Person.

Adi Chapter 2
Text 131 In this way Lord Balarama, who is an ocean of mercy and the giver of devotional service, descended to this world and assumed the name `Nityananda'.

Adi Chapter 3
Text 26 "I am fortunate to read this infant's horoscope. His name will be `Visvambhara'.
Text 27  "The people will call this boy `Navadvipacandra' (the moon of Navadvipa). Please know that He will be spiritual bliss personified."

Adi Chapter 4
Text 46 After consulting among themselves, the learned scholars decided on an appropriate name for the boy.
Text 47 They said, "As soon as this boy was born, famine ended in the land and the farmers were blessed with rain.
Text 48 "The earth again became happy and prosperous, as if Lord Narayana Himself was protecting the earth.
Text 49 "Therefore this boy should be given the name `Shri Visvambhara' (the maintainer of the worlds). After all, in His horoscope it is written that He will be a brilliant lamp shining in His family.
Text 50 "The name `Nimai' given by the chaste ladies will the second name the people call Him."

Adi Chapter 9
Text 217 Lord Nityananda is the first devotee of Lord Chaitanya. Lord Chaitanya's glories always stay on Lord Nityananda's tongue.
Text 218 Day and night Lord Nityananda speaks about Lord Chaitanya. A person who worships Lord Nityananda attains devotion to Lord Chaitanya.

Madhya Chapter 2
Text 344 As "Narasimha" and "Yadusimha" (the lion of the Yadavas, are two names for the same person, so "Nityananda" and "Balarama" are two names for the same person. This I know.
Text 345 I sing the glories of Lord Nityananda. who is known as "Avadhutacandra" (the moon of avadhutas), who is Lord Balarama Himself, and who is dear to Lord Chaitanya.

Madhya Chapter 20

Text 18 Glancing at Murari, the two Lords smiled. In this way the two brothers taught Murari. Then They left.
Text 19 Waking up, Murari wept. Breathing heavily, he called out "Nityananda!" again and again.

Re: Prasadam to Non Devotees

respects to all

The Hari Bhakti Vilasa is one of our rule books. Given to us by the Goswamis.

We are follower's of Sri Nitai Gauranga. Why did Gauranga send the Goswami to vrndavan and make the guide books for us if we don't have to follow them.

The guide books were made for the iron age of Kali.

The modern age of Kali is a materialist way of thinking; the so called modern thinkers say lets move with the times and eat meat ,fish etc.

Re: Prasadam to Non Devotees

"One should give non-devotees unoffered items or wealth, but one should offer the Lord's prasada to the Vaishnavas."  (Hari-bhakti-vilasa 9.327)

svabhavasthaiu karmajadmn vascayan draviradibhiu
harer naivedyasambharan vaisnavebhyau samarpayet

Exactly there is no "unoffered" word in Sanskrit in this verse nor does it specifically say that one should give prasadam ONLY to devotees and NOT OFFER it to the non-devotees. The exact translation of this verse is as follows:

"In the normal course, one should give day to day items like wealth etc. to those who are materialistic by nature and humbly offer the remanants of the Lord Hari to Vaishnavas or devotees."

There are two kinds of non-devotees. One is open-minded and the second is close-minded and antagonistic. Basically the injunction is there to not give prasadam to antagonistic close-minded people since they may reject the prasadam and throw it away due to their faithlessness and commit a big offense. But as our Acharyas have shown by their practical example, once can certainly distribute and offer prasadam to open-minded non-devotees who are willing to accept and eat it even though they may not initially have full faith in prasadam. The power of purification of prasadam is much higher and it will slowly diminish their doubts and lack of faith in God if they just have an open-mind to it and just accept the prasadam without disrespecting it by throwing it away.

Daaso'smi, BR Sadhu Swami Gaurangapada.
