Entry 04

Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna!

Yesterday, while walking to and back from the local grocery store, I was chanting Nityananda naam on my tulsi beads within my beadbag, and while chanting I felt myself in the company of my Lord Nityananda and that He was and is my safe haven, my shelter, my refuge, my home, and the greatest Person to love.

O Nitai, I need You,
I want You Nitai, I want You.
The material universes are not home,
Please bring me into Your abode.

Thank you, Swami Gaurangapada, for putting up NitaaiVeda. Because of this I have access to an English translation of the Nityananda Charitamrita, a most enjoyable and blissful text. It makes japa more sweet.

What Nadiya Nagari bhava?

Respected Swamiji,

Nityananda Gauranga Hare Krishna! Please accept my respectful obeisances!

I am curious to know what was the nature of Srila Vamsidasa babaji maharaja's relationship with Gaura-Nitai. In Bhakti Vikasa Swami's book he said it was Vatsalya bhava. Was it so?

There are some biographies on the net which say that he was in Nadiya Nagari bhava and they quote some songs where they claim he was lamenting in the mood of a lover of Gaura....etc.

Is this Nadiya Nagari same as the asampradaya of Gauranga Nagari, one of the 14 unscrupulous sects?

I came across this in a website and i couldn't help asking it because it seems completely fake and unscrupulous to me and and I wanted to clarify this by your mercy. Please clear my cloud of illusion.

The Fool,

Srinath

Re: I beg for your forgiveness

Dear Vaisnavas,

Nityananda Gauranga Hare Krishna! Jaya Guru parampara! My humble pranams!

As inspired by all devotees here, I mentally fall at each and everyone's feet and beg for your forgivness. I beg of you that you will excuse me if I have ever offended you in my words, actions or even in my dreams and thoughts, or even involuntarily.

Without forgiveness from the devotees it is truly impossible to attain the Lord. Hadai prabhu had requested me to forgive everyone, but in my opinion how can I forgive you? As if you have offended me in any manner? And if I am considered to be a devotee, I refuse to accept, because I am only a shameless clown whose duplicitous character has insulted the Lord and all of you and I have made a laughing stock out of myself. By my rascaldom, I have only given the world a bad and sloppy image of great Vaisnavas and the parampara and in this way I have committed great offenses to yourself for which I am suffering continuously.

Therefore I do not consider anything that you have told me to be an offense and by no means will this sinner ever get in anybody's way to approach the Lord. But however since it is Hadai prabhu's  personally requested me not just to ask forgiveness, but also to forgive each other, therefore in due respect of his order I concede to his request and forgive everyone whom I can forgive within whatever qualification I may have to do so, if any. I apologise if I have offended anyone by violating all good etiquette by this behaviour.

On the occasion of Swamiji's Vyasa puja I have only one think to ask for and if you believe I deserve to ask something, then please show your mercy and grant me geniune humility without any trace of cheating and hypocrisy. I only ask for this one thing from all of you -- please let me remain humbler and humbler still. I ask for nothing else. And in return for your unlimited mercy all that I can offer you is whatever little love and devotion and service which I am capable of. Even though whatever I can give may be full of faults and may be totally useless, still kindly excuse all my limitations and please keep giving me the opportunity to become your servant.

Once again I fall at your feet and humbly beg for your mercy that I may become your unworthy servant. Please forgive me for all the wrong I have done to you knowingly and unknowingly.

Mudho'smi,

Srinath
