Re: pleasing cows - a gentle scratch

Hare Krsna dear vaisnavas. Obeisance's to you all. All glories to Srila Prabhupada and all the vaisnavas.

It is very wonderful that each name of the Lord is so full of transcendental meaning. Each name opens up many doors to unlimited pastimes and ultimately to the entire spiritual world with all it's great devotees. If we take an example of just one of the Lord's names. GOVINDA. The one who gives pleasure to the cows and the senses. Then if we turn to Krsna book, how many pastimes can we find where the Lord is engaged with the cows? How many pastimes is He engaged in giving pleasure to the senses. All His pastimes bring transcendental pleasure to the senses of all the devotees. Each name of our Lord is an entire unlimited meditation all of it's own. Chant is names, open up the doors to His unlimited pastimes, to the spiritual world, to His unlimited entourage of loving dedicated devotees. Become absorbed. Dive deep into each name and it's unlimited meaning, pastime and personage. Drink deep the nectar of the Holy Name!! GOVINDA......GOPALA......GIRIDHARI.......GOPINATHA........NANDA-KISHOR........BRAJA-BIHARI........VAMSI-VADANA......RADHA-RAMANA...just a very few. I leave it now to you. Always think of Me, become My devote!!!!!

Your servant vaisnava dasanudas.

Re: Diary of chanting aspirant

Nityananda Gauranga Hare Krsna

Yes, that is exatly situation and problems that I am presently dealing with.  Well, from one point it is not so easy to attain position of 100% devotional service. I look at this s\ituation as test of faith. If Lord wants, He may help me to reach Him and His pure devotees. Anyway I am not deserved such association and acctualy I am in gain, because I somehow or other came in contact with His Holy Names and pure devotees.

I did not read full version of Svalikhita Jivan and I will do it for sure. Thank you for mentioned this. Yes, you are right, we should walk from A to B to C etc. It is all right to have high expetations, or desires, but we need time and we need to become serious and mature in our devotion. Everything is under Lord's control. If I may alweys be aware of this fact, then there is no place for sorow or weakness.

Thank you sooo much for sharing this with me. It is so important to have such correspodence among devotees because we are looking sometimes from different angles, and helping each other to solve important problems.

Nityananda Gauranga Hare Krsna

Dear Bhakta Igor,

As for the struggle of your job, well, I do understand what you’re saying. I myself write many lines of computer code per day and to what end? With the recent food and fuel prices, extra taxes and so on, there’s not much left to make a ‘decent’ living. We work for a consumer driven society and suffer the consequences of it. At least, that’s one way of thinking about it. The other way is that whatever I do, I offer it to the Lord. If I don’t know the real utility of the work I’m doing, He’ll know it for sure and will sort things out. If I just walk from point A to point B, I offer it to the Lord. This way, ‘walking’ always makes sense. Whatever tiny the thing you’re doing, offer it to God first and be content with the rest.

About the family members: it has to be their choice if they want to follow you on your quest to God. Lord Caitanya Himself told his disciples to just spread the Name, go from door to door but continue to spread the Name. Whether the people accept it or not depends on so many things. But, after all, it is their choice and they have to live up against the consequences of their choices. I talk about God to my children. But right now, they have different phases to go through. If they don’t listen to me now, perhaps later on they’ll remember what I’ve told them and continue their own quest… But that doesn’t mean I’ll love them less if they choose a different path.

I suppose you’ve already read Svalikhita Jivani? If not, please read for yourself about Shrila Bhaktivinoda’s quest to God. He too had to find a balance between spiritual and material life while he had to go to work. And as a householder, I try to do just the same…

Humbly trying to be a true devotee of the Lord,
Damodara Svarupa dasa

Introduction

Respected Swamiji and all devotees,
Nityananda Gauranga Hare Krishna!
Jai Visnupada Srila Prabhupada!
Jai Swami Gaurangapada!
All glories to the Guru Sampradaya!
Before I start posting or adding comments on the forum I would like to introduce myself. My name is Venkat and I am an 18yr old residing in Chennai. I was introduced to the glories of the holy names Nityaananda Gauraanga by Hadai Nityananda Dasa. I am eternally indebted to him.
I first came to know about Krishna Consciousness by reading the Bhagavat Gita As It Is in 2005. My father had bought it when an ISKCON devotee had chatted nicely with him on a train. It was a time when I was looking for an authentic copy of the Bhagavat Gita. I had wholeheartedly accepted it. I was so impressed with Srila Prabhupada’s explanation that I visited ISKCON Bangalore that very summer. I had bought a few more books and continued reading them and some online books. But all was in bits and pieces. But by that time I regarded Srila Prabhupada as my Guru. Chanting however was very irregular and full of offences. I had many doubts and I longed to establish contact with a pure devotee who could guide me personally.
And this was arranged by Nitaai’s mercy through my very close friend, Srinath. Till then Srinath and I used to have each other as the only persons with whom we could chat Krishna Katha. By the grace of the Lordships, Srinath came upon Hadai Prabhu’s site. He immediately asked me to chant the holy names Nityananda Gauranga at least 108 times a day. I wasn’t very interested but I still did as he asked me to do. He then told me more about Hadai Prabhu and how Swamiji clarified some of his (Srinath’s) doubts. I became more convinced and he then arranged a chat between me and Dasa Prabhu (we call Hadai Prabhu like that). Ever since then Dasa Prabhu has been my shiksha guru. I feel so elated when I think of the first time I chatted with him. He made my chanting regular, and I have seen a profound difference in my chanting of the Mahamantra ever since I started chanting the Mantrarajas before them. I now chant 16-16-4 (Nityananda-Gauranga-Hare Krishna mahamantra). I am so fallen that despite so much guidance and support from Dasa Prabhu I still chant such a small amount. But I am trying to increase it day by day.
And now by the grace of Sri NitaiGaura, I have this chance to meet so many pure devotees including Swamiji in this forum. My obeisances to all of you! I am so inspired by the devotees here. I am very encouraged and feel so meek when I see Bhakta Igor’s humility, Bhakta Matus excellent voice, Hadai Nityananda Dasa’s wonderful efforts to spread the Pure Love for Gauranga and Swamiji’s encouraging words for each sincere effort displayed by any devotee. With a straw in my mouth I beg every devotee’s blessings. I am so fallen and the Lord has showed his infinite mercy on an unalloyed fool like me.

All glories to Srila Bhaktivinode Thakura who brought out the glories of the holy names Nityaananda Gauranga.

All glories to Srila Bhaktisiddanta Saraswati who spread the Gaudiya Vaishanava Mission throughtout India, cut the pride of Mayavadis and established that Krishna is Supreme.

All glories to Srila Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, who spread the Krishna Consciousness Movement throughout the world.

I must thank Hadai Nityananda Dasa Prabhu, for it is him who brought me to the infinite glories of the Holy names Nityananda Gauranga and has been guidance ever since I met him. He has been very patient and tolerant with me and answering all my very silly questions. I am eternally indebted to him.
I also thank all devotees here whose efforts to spread the message of Gauranga have been very encouraging to me.
I offer my obeisance’s to all the acaryas of our Sampradaya and the other three Vaishnava Sampradayas.
All glories to Sri Sri Nitai Gaura! Their pastimes are infinite! All glories to their eternal associates!
All glories Sri Sri Radha Krishna! Their glories cannot be described by words! All glories to all Vrajavasis!
I am sorry to write a very long post like this. I am not even good in English. Please forgive me.
Aspiring to serve and please you,
A most fallen soul,
Venkat.
Nityananda Gauranga Hare Krishna!

Nityananda Gauranga Hare Krishna!

Jai Visnupada Srila Prabhupada!

Jai Swami Gaurangapada!

All glories to the Guru Parampara!

Before I start to post or comment on the forum I would like to introduce myself. My name is Venkat and I reside in Chennai, India. I was introduced to the divine glories of the holy names Nityaananda Gauraanga and the Hare Krishna Mahamantra by Hadai Nityananda Dasa.

I first came to know about Krishna Conciousness in 2005 after reading the Bhagavat Gita As It Is by His Dive Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. My father bought it from an ISKCON devotee whom my father wanted to please. It was a time when I was searching for a authentic Bhagavat Gita. I accepted it whole heartedly and that very summer visited the ISKCON Bangalore and bought a few more books written by Srila Prabhupada. Though I regarded him as my Guru I never chanted properly and whole heartedly. If at all I ever chanted it was full of offences. I had so many doubts and I always longed to have a pure devotee to whom I can get guidance from. I thought that the ISKCON was the only place to get guidance but it wasn't easy approching them and my family is basically against the ISKCON. I tried to get in contact with a few devotees in Bangalore but I my mother caught me and I was heavily scolded for doing so. After I had lost hope in finding any pure devotee and I kept hoping that the Lord would show me a way.

And after 2 years he did through Srinath, my very close friend. Till then Srinath and I used to read and we kept each other as the only persons to discuss Krishna related topics. Srinath used to do much more reading than I used to and he would talk about various topics. But chanting for both of us was very irregular and full of offences. By Nitaai's mercy Srinath found Hadai Prabhu's site bepure.info and immediately told me to chant the mantraraajas too. I was very interested but I have a lot of respect for him as he used to read so much and hence is definitly till today more knowledgable than me.
