Re: Perfect QnA about Nityananda Gauranga Naam

Nityaananda! Gauraanga! Hare Krishna! Thanks Srinath. It has been moved to his Forum List page but it will not appear in his Forum Blog page because we need to keep it in the Nityaananda Gauraanga Naama forum so that it can be easily imported into the right section of the NITAAI Veda for offline archival.

Re: Perfect QnA about Nityananda Gauranga Naam

Respected Swamiji and all Vaisnavas,

Nityananda Gauranga Hare Krishna! Please accept my respectful obeisances!

Hadai prabhu heartily recommends this to his naama bhajana page. This is a very memorable conversation and is very special to me and it will be so to all devotees planning to know about the mantrarajas

Actually I had asked him the questions and he and Swamiji had given such wonderful answers!

This was the first conversation I had with Hadai prabhu and it marks THE turning point in my life when I first accepted the mantrarajas and started chanting them and saw the effect.

So good was the replies that he gave that any little doubts I had on the mantrarajas vanished.

This was the time I received the biggest boost anyone could have asked for and it changed my whole life. I must say I went into orbit.

In the service of all those who want to take up the process of chanting Nitai-Gaura naam,

Srinath

Re: The future of NITAAI Veda eBook Hardware

Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krsna!

Dear Gurudeva, please accept my simple obiesances.

A release of this type of machine, with all the books of the acaryas loaded in it would be fabulous. Then we could go online to update it when needed.

The future of NITAAI Veda eBook Hardware

Nityaananda! Gauraanga! Hare Krishna! I hope that one day a portable eBook like the one above could be released with the NITAAI Veda loaded in it with the search and tree functions. NITAAI Veda may have to be converted into pdf for this. The most convenient thing about these eBooks other than the high battery life, is the great ease on the eyes to read on this type of e-ink screen. It is almost the same as reading on paper. It is so cooling for the eyes. One can read much more and relish the pleasure of reading about the Lord. One can feel this difference immensely if one holds such an e-ink screen next to a lcd screen.

Re: Poem: Nitaai - His devotee, His mercy

Respected Swamiji and all Vaisnavas,

Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna! Please accept my dandavat pranams!

This certainly deserves to be one of the most beautiful posts in Hadai Prabhu's naama bhajana. It was so nice because we all were a part of it. Apart from that it actually marks a very sublime event where the Lord gives the most beautiful birthday gift by causing a phenomenal surge in one's devotion, leading to newer and newer and higher levels, deeper into the unlimitedly and incredibly blissful firmament of the ocean of divine love and bhakti.

I hope I am not being of any nuisance to anyone by giving these frequent reminders left right and centre like alarm bells in the firefighting department at the time of emergencies when all of you also have important duties to do. Sometimes I think I am serving you when I actually give you more work. So please forgive me and let me know if I am of any inconvenience to you.

In your service,

Srinath

Re: Humbled at the Ocean of Lord Gauranga's Love

Respected Swamiji and all Vaisnavas,

Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna! Please accept my respectful obeisances!

Forgive me for my impunity. But I feel I could be of some use to you when if it is required to start a separate Naama Bhajana thread for various devotees. I am just currently going around looking at earlier realisations and notifying them to be moved. There are so many posts here that we won't remember all that we ever put up, so once a while I would like to look in whatever little spare time I have.

Here is another beautiful post for Hadai Nityananda Dasa's naam bhajana.

I really love it when someone posts their experience, their realisations up here. Devotion is responsible for more devotion and this is very encouraging to all of us and in turn one person's experience leads to an all-round increase in the devotion within everyone who is fortunate to be engaging in devotional service. Its all for the collective benefit. See, our dharma is congregational!

 In your service,

Srinath

Re: The Marks on Lord Nityananda's Holy Lotus Feet

Respected Swamiji, Hadai Prabhu and all Vaisnavas,

Nityananda Gauranga Hare Krishna! All glories to the guru parampara!

     Please accept my respectful obeisances!

My sincere request is that this realisation be posted on Hadai Nityananda Dasa's naam bhajana blog page. Its a very worthy addition.

This is one of Hadai Prabhu's earlier realisations that was published several months ago. It was very beautiful and it is has a special place for me as well because at the time he had got this realisation, I was busy trying to find out the meanings for the various marks on the Lord's feet. We had been discussing that and we came to a point where we discussed the difference between the appearance of the Jambu phala marks on Lord Gauranga and Lord Nityananda's feet and I had asked him on this and to my astonishing surprise I got this answer from his realisation.

It is very closely associated with the descriptions of Jambudvipa in the 5th canto of the Srimad Bhagavatam, particularly the description of Jambudvipa.

The meaning of those marks are that Lord Nityananda and Lord Gauranga are the ultimate worshippable deities of all living entities on earth and the whole universe, including the greatest demigods Lord Brahma, Lord Siva, Indra, etc..

The wordly meaning is only a description of the universal structure, but at its heart it contains a completely devotional meaning ultimately reaching to Lord Nityananda and Lord Gauranga that is not apparent to any mundane mind or vision.

Lord Nityananda answered him directly and me indirectly. That was the second time I actually felt that Lord Nityananda was actually directing me along the path of loving devotion (the first was the effect I had when I first chanted the mantrarajas) and I could feel his presence through the transparent medium of Hadai Prabhu, one of the greatest devotees I have met. It was too astonishing to describe. How would you feel if Lord Nityananda appeared and told you, "Look this is the deeper meaning to this.."??? It was indirect, but he had personally replied all the same!

My sincere request is that this realisation be posted on Hadai Nityananda Dasa's naam bhajana blog page as it is a very deep and confidential one that cannot be even remotely hinted to the mundane scholars and those who are devoid of pure bhakti.  No amount of logic, no amount of knowledge, nothing at all would have even given a hint as to the very beautiful and very confidential meaning.....I mean, just how many people can trace out a relationship between the Vedic descriptions of the earthly planetary system, the marks on the Lord's feet and the most sublime meaning which goes on to reach the pure ocean of nectar that is pure bhakti? No one can do that.

The Srimad Bhagavatam is bhakti and bhakti in and out. Someone may ask why Sukadeva Gosvami has described the structure of the universe and what has that to do with pure bhakti, but actually everything is only devotional.

I quote the reference as SB 5.16.7 to SB 5.16.19.

This realisation caused a cascade of insights in me and I realised that in a very confidential manner,  Lord Nityananda and Lord Caitanya are actually all over the Bhagavatam, but very deeply hidden. The Srimad Bhagavatam describes them in very confidential terms in its verses. We can understand the confidential meanings of the Srimad Bhagavatam verses related to Lord Nityananda and Lord Gauranga only by the Lord and his devotees mercy.

Take for example the atmarama verse in the Srimad Bhagavatam (1.7.10).

       suta uvaca
atmaramas ca munayo
nirgrantha apy urukrame
kurvanty ahaitukim bhaktim
ittham-bhuta-guno harih

“All different varieties of atmaramas, especially those established on the path of self-realization, though freed from all kinds of material bondage, desire to render unalloyed devotional service unto the Personality of Godhead. This means that the Lord possesses transcendental qualities and therefore can attract everyone, including liberated souls.”

Actually at a deeper level this verse indicates Lord Gauranga and Lord Nityananda and also it indicates Radha Krishna and whatever descriptions that are there in the Caitanya Caritamrta and Caitanya Bhagavata. Its too elaborate to describe here. But I will try to tell you the insight I got in this short note :

The Lord is the supreme atmarama, always self-blissful. But he relishes that bliss in the forms of the Loving exchanges between Radha and Krishna. Along with that he becomes so attracted by his own qualities that he takes the form of Lord Gauranga and relishes himself. Such are the transcendental qualities of the Lord. Lord Nityananda and Gauranga are one in identity, only different in appearance.   Lord Nityananda, the supreme Personality of Godhead Balarama is always maddened with Gaura prema and Krishna prema.

Its a very wonderful meaning for which I or anyone can liberally weep tears of bliss and love, along with a whole cascade of beautiful emotions.

     NITYANANDA! GAURANGA! HARE KRISHNA!

Daaso'smi,

Srinath

Dear Hadai Nityananda dasa Prabhuji,
Your realization is most wonderful because what Swamiji is telling everyone is very true that Nityananda and Gauranga naama can easily give love for Godhead.  Which is very encouraging.

Full Pictures of Acharyas

As Shrila Prabhupada several times told artists, he disapproved of pictures depicting only the head and shoulders of Krsna or an acarya. The picture, he said, should include the person's full form. Once while taking his massage, complained to his disciple Varadaraja Dasa, the artist, about "bust pictures."  Pictures, Shrila Prabhupada said, should include the whole form, from the feet up, not just the head and shoulders, because the pictures are not just for decoration but for worship. He then said, "vande guroh shri"-and then pointed to his own feet - "charanaravindam."

Nectar Upon Nectar

Nityananda Gauranga Hare Krishna!

Dear Guruji and devotees please accept my humble obeisances.

Sri Vrindavana dasa Thakura’s Sri Chaitanya-Bhagavata is an ever expanding ocean of nectar and yesterday I read how Lord Gauranga Krishna directly shares, extends and expands that ocean to His devotees. It is the story about the very exalted devotee Shridara who earned His livelihood by selling banana leaves. He passed the entire night by without sleep while loudly chanting the Names of Krishna and Hari. The atheists thought that he couldn’t sleep because he was so affected by poverty and afflicted by hunger. Here you can see how devotees are not at all recognized by, and totally hidden from, non-devotees.

During Lord Gauranga’s scholarly pastimes He bought daily banana leaves from Sridhara and He would quarrel with him about the price and buy his goods for half the price and sometimes the Lord took forcibly away all his goods. Sridhara never became angry. It is amazing to see Lord Gauranga’s expertise in hiding and revealing His identity. At that time while quarreling with Sridhara, Sridhara had no idea he was dealing with the Lord of his worship. So the Lord can stand right in front of His pure devotee, in Person, and still He is able to hide His true identity. This means that we are never able to recognize the Lord unless He reveals Himself. It is solely by the will of the Lord that He is recognized. Not even the purest of His devotees can recognize Him without His benediction.

Anyway during that special evening in Srivasa’s house when the Lord was sitting on the throne showing all His opulences, the Lord asked for Sridhara. When Sridhara came he saw that Lord Visvambhara was blackish like a tamala tree, he saw the flute, Balarama, the goddess Lakshmi, Brahma, Shiva and the thousand hoods of Lord Ananta as an umbrella over the head of Lord Gauranga Krishna, while Sanaka, Narada, and Sukadeva were chanting the glories of the Lord. Sridhara was so struck with wonder that he fainted but the Lord was far from done with showering His blessings upon Sridhara. He said: “Get up get up!” and he asked Sridhara to offer prayers to Him. Sridhara felt totally unworthy to do so but by the order of the Lord, Sarasvati the mother of the universe and the goddess of learning, manifested on the tongue of Sridhara.

Sridhara is saying some very extraordinary things in His prayers. He says: “You are dharma, You are karma, You are bhakti and You are jnana. You are the scriptures, You are the Vedas, and You are the object of all meditation. You are the mystic perfections, You are prosperity, You are enjoyment, and You are yoga. You are faith, You are compassion, You are illusion and greed. You are Indra, You are Chandra, Your are Agni and Varuna, You are Surya, You are Vayu, You are wealth and strength. You are devotional service, You are liberation, You are Brahma and Shiva.” Sridhara shows here that He sees the Lord in everything and then he says: “But why consider You to be them? They are all subordinate to you.” This is so wonderful and ecstatic because He first sees Lord Gauranga Krishna in all of His manifestation but then he makes a new distinction: actually everything I just mentioned is expanded from You. Lord Gauranga Krishna’s first expansion is Lord Nityananda Who expands further into the rest of all manifestations. So all the purusha expansions are subordinate to Adi purusha and all of it is there to serve the Lord Gauranga Krishna. Sridhara reveals here the glue of the whole of all manifestations: Love for Lord Gauranga Krishna. First he sees only Lord Gauranga Krishna through al differentiation and then he sees differentiation again but now with new eyes: all he perceives is in service of the Lord. There is so much to this that from this point on Sridhara elaborates on devotional service itself and how the Lord is conquered by devotional service. Until Lord Gauranga’s appearance devotional service was attained by exalted devotees like Bhisma, Yasoda, the gopis and gopas, but now the entire world hankers for Lord Gauranga Krishna’s devotional service. Here Sridhara has arrived at the pinnacle of the truth about Lord Gauranga Krishna and he concludes that in the past (during the Lord’s other incarnations) only two or four persons defeated the Lord by their devotional service, but now Sridhara says: “You will be bound by one and all!” Then the Lord says: “O Sridhara, choose and ask for any benediction. I will give you the eight mystic perfections... I want to make you king of a great kingdom.” But Sridhara says: O Lord will You again deceive me?” Sridhara does not want anything else than: “O Lord, give me this one benediction. Let that brahmana who forcibly took away my banana leaves be my Lord birth after birth. Let me always engage in the service of the lotus feet of that brahmana who constantly quarreled with me”. Then text 226 of the ninth chapter of the Sri Chaitanya Bhagavata is one of those verses in which we see the transcendental Love exchange between the Lord and His pure devotee in such a way that when grasping only a little particle of it, it raises (at least) all of your hairs and you are not able to read any further. It says: “While speaking in this way, Sridhara’s love for the Lord increased and he began crying loudly with his arms raised.” Here we see that the Lord’s benediction took effect immediately even while Sridhara was still asking for it. Standing in front of the Lord his love for Lord Gauranga Krishna was already unlimited and still the Lord raised its intensity. Sridhara was experiencing an ocean of love for the Lord and still the Lord reduced that ocean to a drop in an even greater ocean of love. The ocean of love for the Lord is always expanding and by reading such exalted exchanges between the Lord and his pure devotee we sometimes are granted a little glimpse of that supreme exchange. Who doesn’t long to be a particle of dust in such a glorious environment? I get stuck at such a verse and can’t read any further, it’s like I get petrified hoping that I can read further tomorrow or maybe the day after tomorrow however it doesn't really matter because all what counts at the moment: balite balite prema badaye sridhare…

Thank you again for allowing me to share this wonderful nectar upon nectar of the glories of Lord Gauranga Krishna.

Your servant,

Hadai Nityananda dasa

Nityananda Gauranga Hare Krishna!
