NITAI MORA JIVANA
NITAI MORA JIVANA
"Lord Nityananda, the Wealth of My Life"
(by Srila Locana dasa Thakura)
1)
nitai mora jivana dhana nitai mora pati
nitai bihane mora ana nahi gati
O my Lord Nityananda, wealth of my life! O my master Nitai!
I have no other means of deliverance except the mercy of Nitai!
2)
samsara sukhera mukhe tuilya dia chai
nagare magiya khaba gahiya nitai
Leaving behind all worldly pleasures, I want to reduce the happiness of family life to ashes.
Like a mendicant I shall live begging in town and glorifying the holy names of Lord Nitai.
3)
ye dese mora nitai nai sei dehe na yaba
nitai vihina kara mukha na dekhiba
Places where Lord Nityananda is not present I will not enter.
At peoples faces I wish not to look. Only Nitai I want to see.
4)
ganga yara pada jala harasire dhara
hena nitai na bhajiya dukha paiya mare
The water of the Ganga has emanated from His lotus feet and Lord Siva has accepted it on his head.
In great distress the non-devotees give up their lives without worshipping Lord Nityananda.
5)
locana bale mora nitai yeba nahi mane
anala bhejai tara majha mukha kane
Locana dasa says, "I will light a fire in the mouths of those who do not worship my Lord Nityananda."

Below is my poetic interpretation of the meaning of the song for the pleasure of all devotees on the forum. Please excuse me for any discrepancies, but English is not my native language and poetry is not my forte. This is just a loving offering to all of you for the wonderful sanga that you are providing. Thank you! Nityaananda Gauraanga Hare Krishna!
My dearest Lord Nitai! You are my lifes great treasure!
You are my only master! Thy mercy I cant measure.
Without Your glance of kindness my life will soon get shivered
Because of Your compassion only I hope to be delivered
The happiness of home and children has rendered me astray
All worldly, sensual pleasures - O, when theyll fade away?
I shall be living only begging both from low and high
And spent my time to glorify the Names of my Nitai.
I have no interest in places where His presence is not felt
Where singing and glorification of His name is never held
And even glance at peoples faces I will surely quit
I wish to only always see Lord Nityanandas lotus feet.
These lotus feet which are the source of holy Ganga river
the force of which on Earth is mitigated by Lord Shiva
The death of faithless persons will be horror if they try
To never worship just for moment that most merciful Nita.i
Devoid of Nityanandas worship their lives are but a shame
The mouths of such unconscious people deserve to be aflame
Thus Locan das is beautifully singing the glories of Nitai
I hope you bear with this pretense interpreting of mine.
