Re: Vaishnava Garbhadhana Sanskara
Nityaananda! Gauraanga! Hare Krishna! You are describing about the Smarta Sanskaras or the rituals done with the smarta procedure which have no devotion and thus they are certainly rejected by the devotees of the Lord. The above Garbadhana Sanskara process is not a smarta process but a devotional offering of our right consciousness to the Lord. Until the time, one reaches a very advanced stage in Bhakti like Raganuga Bhakti, one should try to follow the devotional principles whenever possible as described in the Hari Bhakti Vilasa, Sat Kriya Sara Dipika etc. Even great souls like Shrila Kashyapa and Shrimati Diti in the Shrimad Bhagavatam, had to suffer greatly due to the birth of two demoniac children, for not following these Vaishnava principles during conception.
