Everyone Please Install Microsoft Silverlight

Dear Devotees, Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna! Jaya Shri Guru Parampara! Pranams!   In order to ensure that our web videos will also directly play from Blu-ray discs on Blu-ray players on TVs, henceforward all our NITAAI Yoga Videos including the high-definition (high quality videos) and the lower quality ones, will be available in the WMV (VC1) format. Extra FLV or MP4 Flash Video files will be provided but not in all cases. Thus, I would request everyone to please install the Microsoft Silverlight Web Video Player (for wmv video files) to directly play our high-quality and lower-quality videos in your browser without the need to download them first. I have updated the Silverlight backend. So now, after you install Silverlight, you should be able to view the wmv videos in Silverlight in the new, light and fast Firefox 3 browser and also the IE and Safari browsers also. Opera browser support for Silverlight is still not perfect. Silverlight is available for PC and Mac presently and Linux support is also there in the form of Moonlight. Unlike the Adobe Flash Player, there is only one install of Silverlight required for all the supported browsers on your computer. IE does not require a restart after Silverlight installation and we hope that with the new backend update, you will not require a restart in Firefox also after installing Silverlight. Please click on the image below and install Silverlight now if you do not have it installed. For best compatibility in Firefox and all browsers, I would suggest you install the smaller (1.4 MB) Silverlight version 1+ as the next bigger version Silverlight 2.0 (4.5 MB) in still in beta (Beta 2) testing phase. Silverlight 2.0 may still not be fully supoorted by Firefox 3 etc.



To play these wmv (vc-1) video files on your computer after downloading them, you can download and install the new versions (for your OS) of Windows Media Player (11), RealPlayer (11), VLC Player etc. RealPlayer and VLC Player will play the MP4 and FLV video files also.
