Smallest Size Videos in the World

Dear Devotees, Nityaananda! Gauraanga! Hare Krishna! Due to feedback from some of our devotees in India who have a maximum of 128 kbps internet connection (extremely slow), we tried an experiment to make available our videos at the lowest bitrate in the world conceivably possible for videos, which is even less than bitrates for mp3 audios. We are happy that after working with video codec experts, we are able to produce videos at only 100 kbps with viewable video and audio quality when viewed in a small size. Dialup connection speed is 56 kbps but it is fast being replaced by at least a 128 kbps connection in the third world countries. I think hardly anyone ever makes videos available at 100 kbps so this is our unique contribution to reach one and all via the internet with spiritually nourishing NITAAI Yoga videos.

So now even those with a minimum of 128 kbps internet connection will be able to play these 100 kbps videos  online non-stop (no video stopping due to buffering) without having to first download them for hours or days. This will greatly increase the online audience who can view our NITAAI Yoga spiritual videos and attain benefit about the goal of human life. We are always happy to make it easier for one and all to become absorbed in Naama Bhakti Yoga and videos are the best medium to do that.

For now you can view these 100 kbps, 248 kbps and 768 kbps videos, depending on your speed,  via the players in the tabs box at the Nitaai.net forum home page. We will later add a new topic for the video players for these video qualities.

We will also be making the same videos available at 248 kbps for slow-medium speed conections of 256 kbps and also the same videos in  higher quality at 768 kbps to 1 Mbps for sharp fullscreen viewing for those viewers with real broadband connections. After some research, we have found that we may have to make the videos available in a 4th format for downloading, burning and playing on a Blu-ray disc on a PS3 etc. for viewing on TVs. Because the Blu-ray discs only play those videos which have AC3 audio in a m2ts (.ts) container along with the H.264 or WMV VC-1 video codec. Let us see how this would be possible.

Daaso'smi, BR Sadhu Swami Gaurangapada.
