Re: Facing severe mental difficulties

Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna!
Dandavats and obeissances.

The stronger the modes of material nature act on us, the more distress we will feel mentally, and therefore the less control we have over our minds and bodies. In this passionate world these things are the norm. The mind can't stop for a second so if we are not focused on the Lord we will be focused on something else which is impermanent and we will feel anxiety because of this. If one takes to devotional service then one will gradually be purified of all such unwanted contamination. It still may be necessary for a devotee with these problems to take some sort of ayurvedic  medicine to help them with their condition. Also balance among the tridosha is necessary for health, so one must eat the right kinds of foods so as to not aggravate our conditions. Just cutting back on something like salt from the diet can really make one less irritable,  foods can play a big part in our attitude
