Dear Swamiji, Mihir and devotees. Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to the guru parampara. All glories to Sri Sri Gaura Nitai. All glories to Sri Sri Radha Krishna.

In the Brahma-vaivarta Purana it is stated:

daivadhinam jagat sarvam
samyogas ca viyogas ca
janma-karma subhasubham
na ca daivat param balam

krsnayattam ca tad daivam
bhajanti satatam santah
sa daivat paratas tatah
paramatmanam isvaram

daivam vardhayitum saktah
na daiva-baddhas tad bhaktas
ksayam kartum svalilaya
cavinasi ca nirgunah

“All activities of a human being are under the control of providence. What to speak of this, the entire world is under the control of providence. Birth, activities, the results of pious and impious actions, and the meeting and separation of all living entities are under the control of providence. Therefore there is no force superior to providence. Yet Lord Krishna is greater than providence. Since providence is under the control of Lord Krishna, saintly persons worship Krishna, Who is the Supersoul and Supreme Personality of Godhead. Through His pastimes, Sri Krishna can diminish or expand this providence. Therefore the devotees of Lord Krishna are not bound by providence. They are imperishable and transcendental.”

I thought this is a nice scriptural reference to our above discussion about pre-designation.
