Sanskrit is the Origin of all Languages

Respected Swamiji and all Vaisnavas,

Nityananda Gauranga Hare Krishna! Please accept my respectful obeisances!

A study of linguistics gives very startling discoveries. And it supports what is there in our Puranas, that all languages have originated from Sanskrit.

The words mother, father, brother, etc. are mata, pitrarah and bhratah to start with and are common to many many languages.

The word English originally comes from Sanskrit. Do you know how? It comes from bija mantras in Sanskrit Language. The three bijas aim, klim, shrim are the origin of the word English. ( Aim : Pronounced like i-m ;;   Klim : kl-ee-m ;;; and shrim : shr-ee-m.)

Together, aIM-KLIm-SHrim give IMKLIMSH which is nothing but ENGLISH when the pronunciation is slightly altered (M in KLIM is silent). IMKLIMSH == IMKLISH == Inglish == English.   Though the origin of the word English is attributed to Anglo Saxon, it must be noted that Anglo itself comes from a combination of bija sounds.

The reason why English has become the universal language all over the world is attributed to the power of the sound of the bija mantras behind it.

Another common term in English is My Husband.   My husband comes from the Sanskrit "Mama Hasta Bandah". Mama means my literally and hastabandha because at the time of marriage according to Vedic rules, the husband holds the hand of the wife and makes the marriage vows.

In Japanese, Gaura or Goura refers to a musical instrument and there are people by that name. There is also a word similar to Nitaai, I think it means 'my or mine'.

Apart from this, many other words go like this in various languages like German, Roman, Latin, Greek, English, etc:

  • AKSHA, "axle, axis"  Ger. ACHSE           AKSHI, "eye"=Russ. OKO=L. OCULUS=M.E. EYGHE, "eye".          It is common for older English words spelled with a  G to drop this         letter and exchange it with a Y.  (EYE; OCULAR; OCCULT, associated         with the Evil Eye.)
  •
  • ANTARA,  "interior, other".         See I-TARA
  •
  •

ASHTA, "eight"=L. OCTO, Ger. ACHT (OCTAGON,         OCTET,  OCTOPUS)

  •
  •

BAAD / VAAD, "bathe"  Old High German         BAD, "bath"

  •
  •

BARBARA, "barbarian, one with long hair"         (BARBER)              . Pronounced as bur - bura

  •
  •

BHRAATHRA, "brother, fraternity"  Latin.         FRATER  as in Fraternity

  • BHUUTI, "wealth, fortune". Could this be         related to  Eng. BOOTY/BUTY, "anything plundered
  •
  • CANDERE, "shine, be  hot";          INCENDERE/INCENSUM, "burn, inflame emotions"          (INCANDESCENT, CANDLE, CHANDELIER, INCENDIARY;  INCENSED,         "angry")    I think it is pronounced as CHANDERE ( after the moon planet - Chandra)
  •
  • CATUR< "four"=L. QUATTOR (QUARTER,         "a fourth"
  •
  • DIV, "shine" akin to DIVA, "heaven;         DIVYA, "divine"   Divine actually means effulgent
  •
  • DVAAR, "door"
  •
  • HARDA / HRDAYA, "heart"
  •
  • GO, "cow" (Old Saxon CO, Low German KO,         "cow". There  is even a theory that GOD is derived from         Skt. GO,  because cows and bulls were symbolic representations          of gods.)
  •
  • HAARYA, "be robbed" akin to HARA,         "destroying"  (HARRY, "plunder; devastation";         HARASS)
  •
  • HEKKI, "hiccup".

More to come in subsequent posts. Please keep reading.

In your service,

Srinath
