Absorption in Naama Bhajana

Nityaananda! Gauraanga! Hare Krishna! When I chant Japa during some days, I feel very very absorbed and it is a burden for me to even accept a phone call or meet anyone throughout that day or even get distracted for a second. Preaching to others becomes secondary. Absorbing oneself in the Holy Names becoming the primary goal. I think this should not be imitated. I do not feel like this artifically but it genuinely happens. Japa becomes so ecstatic  and I desire to continue with the same absorption as long as I can and do not feel like disturbing that absorption at any cost. I am able to get a small glimpse about what the great Bhajananandis like Shrila Namacharya Haridasa Thakura, Shrila Jagannatha Dasa Babaji, Shrila Gaura Kishore Dasa Babaji and Shrila Bhaktivinoda Thakura (in his last 4 years) experienced while performing solitary Japa. Of course, I will never give up actively preaching the Holy Names of Nityaananda, Gauraanga, and Hare Krsihna till the end of my life, but these rare moments are also to be cherished.

Daaso'smi, BR Sadhu Swami Gaurangapada.
