Re: Chanting Hare Krishna offenselessly

Dear Gurudev,

Nityaananda ! Gauraanga ! Hare Krishna !

Dandavat Pranaams.

I am really feeling very fortunate to have taken shelter under Lord Nityaananda. I am feeling so happy today to have chosen to chant Nityaananda and Gauraanga Naam along with Hare Krishna Mahamantra. There was a time when I was chanting only Hare Krishna Mahamantra but I always had a question in my mind that if Shrila Prabhupada said that surrendering to Lord Nityaananda and Lord Gauraanga is very important then why am I not being able to surrender to them to my full satisfaction. 2-3 years back I chatted live on a website (I don't want to mention the name). I told the devotee that I am in a distress then will Lord Krishna help. He replied yes. I was very happy but then I told the devotee that Lord Krishna helped Draupati only after she surrendered 100%, till then she did not recieve help. I told the devotee that I am not a pure devotee like Draupati to surrender 100% then how will I recieve help. The devotee told me that Lord Chaitanya does not ask for surrender so he told me to worship Him. To this I got very confused and I told the devotee that I am only chanting Hare Krishna then how do I surrender to Lord Chaitanya. To this he had no answer and he told me not to worry about all that and he said that by chanting Hare Krishna Lord Chaitanya will be pleased. However the truth is that to please Lord Chaitanya we must get the mercy of Lord Nityaananda. Similarly I have faced so many experiences in life. Then when I chatted with Swami Gaurangapada all the questions in my life got answered. I am now so satisfied with my spiritual practice. Thank you so much Gurudev, without your mercy I am sure I would have ended up either in a ghost body or in Yamraj's abode.

ys,
Mihir.
