Fasting on Dvadasi for Ekadashi

All glories to Swami Gaurangapada!
All glories to Srilla Prabhupada!

If devotee by mistake broke Ekadashi fast could she or he fast on Dvadashi  and  break his fast on Trayodasi? Will such fast  be equal as fasting on Ekadashi?
