Re: Fictional work and Krishna Conciousness
Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna! Jaya Shri Guru Parampara! Pranams! Neither Shrila Sacchidananda Bhaktivinoda Thakura nor Shrila Sanatana Goswami have explicitly written that the devotees in Jaiva Dharma and Brihad Bhagavatamrita are merely fictional characters. We are too tiny and insignificant to come to a speculated conclusion about it. When the pure devotees visualize a pastime in their heart, it is much more real than our own conditioned existence. So we cannot know unless they specifically state about it.
In regards to the second part of the question, I doubt that there can ever be an author like Shrila Sacchidananda Bhaktivinoda Thakura..na bhuto na bhavishyati. Great souls like him come very rarely, once or twice, only when Lord Gaura comes Himself. Writings entertaining novels to explain devotional philosophy is one thing, but writing great scriptures like Jaiva Dharma and Prema Pradipa is not possible for general devotees with insufficient realization.
Daaso'smi, Swami Gaurangapada.
