Re: Lord Gauranga cares more for one's devotion than personal qualities
Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna!
Dandavats and obeissances!
I believe you meant for Swami Gaurangapada to reply but I will share what I feel some. The pastime of Saci "committing an offense" was later after this apparently. Here is verse from Caitanya Bhagavata explaining this:
Madhya 22.8
vaisnavera thani yara haya aparardha
krsna krpa haile o tara prema vadha
If one commits an offense against a Vaisnava, even after attaining the mercy of Krsna, his attainment of love of God is checked.
From this verse we can understand that one can attain Krsna prema but if he or she commits Vaisnava aparadha then his prema can be checked at least temporarily. Of course Mother Saci or other pure Vaisnavas would never commit such offenses but this pastime is to show how serious the offense can be since the Lord denied his own mother love of God, what to speak of fallen souls llike ourselves.
As far as Narayani being the first to attain Krishna prema I don't think it's really possible to understand who was first because on the spiritual platform time as past or future doesn't exist but their is surely no discrepancy between Vrndavan das Thakura and Locana dasa. We know that Vaisnavas see different things like when Lord Nityananda handed Lord Gauranga a plow, some people saw the plow, some didn't see anything, and some saw something else. It all depends on our realization and what the Lord wants us to see.
What we really need to know is that the spiritual realm has different characteristics than this material realm and in the spiritual realm all contradictions exist simultaneosly as per Srila Bhaktisiddhanta.
Your servant
Jagannatha Gauranga dasa
