Devotional service is a state of consciousness


Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna!

Devotional service can be practiced at any time and at any place. Although favourable outer circumstences do help one to engage in the activities of devotion, devotional service itself doesn't depend on them. It is a state of consciousness. It is heart's hankering for the service of the Lord and it finds its expression and support in lovingly chanting and remembering the Lord's Holy Names, Form and Pastimes.
