Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krsna!

Dear Swami Gaurangapada and assembled devotees, please accept my full dandavat pranams.

Here is today's thoughts in writing. After writing this small article, Nityananda Naam jaap was performed for 15 minutes. The writing exercise greatly assists Naam-jaap-lila-smarana I am finding. And it is a good way to do some simple service.

All glories to Shri Krishna Chaitanya, the ocean of mercy! All glories to Lord Nityananda, the friend of the fallen souls!

thoughts by Nava: Sri Krsna Caitanya is the Supreme Personality of Godhead, full of bliss and rasa. His very nature is to extend that resevoir of bliss, his heart, unlimitedly. It has been said that the store house of love, which was sealed, has now been broken open, and its contents plundered. Normally in this material world, the plunderer is considered a thief, a bad person. But such is not the case here, in this spiritual reality. The contents have been freely distributed, to all, without consideration of the canditates condition of worthiness. This is the unique attribute of the mercy incarnation, Sri Gauranga. Sri Krsna Caitanya's first expansion is Sri Nityananda Prabhu,. who is the source of all manifestation, and the pinnacle of mercy. The giver of this love, the distributor. Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Goswami has said, that if one even hears just once the holy name of Lord Nityananda, love of God will appear in the listeners heart.

All glories to Sri Advaita Acarya, whose life and soul are Sri Gauranga and Sri Nityananda! All glories to Srivasa and Gadadhara Prabhus! All glories to Sri Visvambhara, the beloved son of Jagannatha and Saci! All glories to all the devotees and associates of the Lord!

thoughts by Nava: Sri Sri Nityananda Gauranga are the all in all, the centre piece, and the cherished desire of all pure devotees. Any connection with these two Lord's is spiritual reality. Even the animals attained spiritual bliss as Sri Caitanya danced in the jungle, what to say of the bliss of the exalted eternal associates mentioned in the above paragraph. The supreme goal of life is to awaken one's connection to these two Lord's. This can be achieved by regular chanting of their holy names – Nityananda! Gauranga!


There is a village called Ekacakra* in Radha-desa in West Bengal, where the Supreme Lord Nityananda appeared.From the day of His appearance, the whole of Radha-desa became all-auspicious. Famine, poverty, and other distresses at once disappeared.

thoughts by Nava: The appearance of the Lord brings all auspiciousness. What to say of constant chanting of the holy name of Nityananda. The holy name of God is non-different to God, and fully spiritual. The holy name contains full potency. May the holy name of Nityananda be manifest within the heart of all living beings.

A short distance from Ekacakra, the Deity of Mauresvara is present. Lord Nityananda, who is non-different from Lord Balarama, had worshipped this Deity. In the village of Ekacakra lived Hadai Pandita. He was a qualified brahmana, very detached, and full of compassion. His wife's name was Padmavati, who was very chaste and an exalted devotee. She was the mother of the universe. Both Hadai Pandita and Padmavati Devi were very magnanimous. Lord Nityananda appeared in their family out of His own sweet will.

thoughts by Nava: The Lord is fully independent and all is manifest by His sweet will. His very existence is supreme bliss and pleasure, anything connected with Him is of the same quality. Hadai Pandita and Padmavati Devi are considered very magnanimous. By chanting the holy name of their Beloved Son, we are invited into the intimate pastimes of this exalted family. Magnanimous souls always offer full hospitality. Padmavati Devi is considered the mother of the universe. Through the initial step of even the slightest faith, all the beauty contained within the holy name of Nityananda, is offered freely to our heart. This is the supreme mercy of Sri Sri Guru and Gauranga. We become one spiritual family, eternally. May all living beings cherish the holy name of Nityananda Prabhu!
