Re: Only Vrindavana Krishna wears the peacock feather
Dear Swami Gaurangapada and dear devotees,
Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna! Please accept my humble obeisances.
While reading Shri Chaitanya Bhagavata i encountered one verse, which confirms that peacock feather eternally belongs to Lord Gauranga. This verse was spoken by Shrila Shrivasa Thakura while offering prayers to Lord Gauranga at his home (CB, Madhya, Chapter 2, Verse 273):
shaciira nandana-paa'ye mora namaskaara
nava-gunjaa shikhi-puccha bhushana yaanhaara
"I offer my respectful obeisances unto the Lotus Feet of Shachi's son, whose head is decorated with fresh gunja and a peacock feather."
Shri Gauranga-Krishna Bhagavan ki jaya! Shrivasa Thakura ki jaya!
Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna!
Aspiring to obtain the dust of the lotus feet of Lord Gauranga's devotees,
Matus
