Which great Vaishnava wrote this poem?


Dear devotees,

       Nityananda Gauranga Hare Krishna! My humble pranams!

       I need to know which Vaishnava wrote this poem of 108 verses glorifying Lord Gaura's names, forms, qualities, pastimes, abodes and devotees. It is fantastic. Prepare to EXPLODE! But please excuse the layout and typos. I just got this poem from somewhere and I don't know who wrote it.

sri-gaura-namani - the names of Lord Gaura;  susundarani - beautiful; jihva-tale - on the tongue; me - of me;  krpaya - mercifully; lilekha - wrote; ya - who; eva - indeed; tasmai - to  him; gurave - the guru; parasmai - transcendental; natah - bowing down;  asmy - am; aham - I; sri-prabhupada-namne - named Srila Prabhupada.
I offer my respectful obeisances to His Divine Grace A C  Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada my spiritual master who wrote  the beautiful names of Lord Gaura on my tongue.

dhrdaya-pathy ahaha harsa-pada-nidhih nayana-pankaja-drstir ihesvarah

mama - of me; nimantranam - invitation; adya - now;  nisamya - hearing; mat - of me; hrdaya-pathy - on the path of the  heart; ahaha - aha; harsa-pada-nidhih - a treausry of words of  happiness; nayana-pankaja-drstih - glance of the lotus eyes;  iha - here; isvarah - the Supreme Personality of Godhead;   kramatu - may walk; gaura-harih - Lord gaura-Hari;  karunamayah - merciful.
May blissful merciful all-powerful lotus-eyed Lord Gaura-Hari accept my invitation and place His lotus feet in My heart.

mamake manasi gaurasundarah
mamakam - my; hrdaya - heart; vrtti - actions;  paduka - slippers; yugmakam - pair; sprsatu - may touch;  gaurasundarah - Lord Gaura; pada-pankaja-yugam - lotus feet;  samarpayet - may place; mamake - of me; manasi - in the heart;  gaurasundarah - Lord Gaura.
My Lord Gaurasundara accept the slippers that are my  thoughts and place His lotus feet in my heart.

nityam mangala-karanam papa-nasam param divyam
gaura-ity-aksara-dvayam
tisthatv - may stand; amrta-purnogham - flooded with  nectar; nityam - always; mangala-karanam - auspicious;  papa-nasam - destroying sin; param - great;;  divyam - transcendental; gaura-ity-aksara-dvayam - the two  syllables Gaura.
May the two splendid syllables Gaura which are a flood of  nectar and which bring auspiciousness and destroy sins stay  always on my tongue.

patitatamese - the most fallen; mayi - to me; su-visanne - very  unhappy; sakaruna-cittah - merciful heart; krpayatu - may be  merciful; gaurah - Lord Gaura.
May merciful Lord Gaura be kind to me the most fallen and  unhappy.

sri-gaura-murtim pranato 'smi nityam sri-gaura-pujam satatam karomi
sri-gaura-kirtim jagate vadami
sri-gaura-nama - the name of Lord Gaura; aham - I; ahah - Oh;  gadami�say; sri-gaura-murtim - the form of Lord Gaura;  pranato 'smi - I bou down; nityam - always; sri-gaura-pujam - the  worship of Lord Gaura; satatam - always; karomi - I do; sri- gaura-kirtim - the praise of Lord Gaura; jagate - to the world; vadami - I speak.
Again and again I chant the holy name of Lord Gaura Again  and again I bou down before Lord Gaura Again and again I worship  Lord Gaura Again and again I tell the world the glories of Lord  Gaura.

sa ity aho bhasata eva lokah sri-gaura-padambuja-yugmakagre
natam muhur mam satatam pradrsya
sri-gaura-padambuja -  Lord Gaura's lotus feet;  paduka - the slippers; asti - is; sa - he; ity - thus; ahah - Oh;  bhasata - may say; evaindeed; lokah - the people; sri-gaura- padambuja-yugmakagre - at the tip of Lord Gaura's feet;  natam - bowed down; muhuh - again and again; mam - me; satatam - always;  pradrsya - seeing.
May I bow down before Lord Gaura again and again May the  people say His head has become Lord Gaura's slippers".

kulyai tavananta-krpa-tarangini-
dharam nayantya amitamrtam subham sadbhih krtayai hi punar-bhavat sthalad
yantrani dehi mama gaura daivata
kulyai - for a canal; tava - of You; ananta - limitless;  krpa - mercy; tarangini - oceran; dharam - flood;  nayantyai - leading; amitamrtam - limitless nectar;  subham - auspicious; sadbhih - by the devotees; krtayai - done;  hi - indeed; punar-bhavat - repeated birth; sthalat - place;  yantrani - tools; dehi - please give; mama - to me; gaura - O Lord Gaura;  daivata - O Supreme Personality of Godhead.
O Lord Gaura please give me some tools so that in this  lifetime I may help in digging a canal that leads from the  limitless nectar-ocean of Your mercy to this world of birth and  death.

marga-kuttima-silastu mad-bhavam gaura-pada-kamalasya samsrti-
jangalam carata aihikam bhuvi
ka - what?; gatih - the goal; iha - here; madiya-janmani - in my  lifetime; marga - of the path; kuttima - of the pavement; sila - a  stone; astu - may be; mad-bhavam - my lifetime; gaura-pada- kamalasya - of Lord Gaura's lotus feet; samsrti - of the material creation; jangalam - the jungle; carata - wandering; aihikam - here;  bhuvi - in the world.
What shall I do with this lifetime� I shall turn this  lifetime into one of the steppingstones Lord Gaura uses in His  path to the jungle of this world.

kavya-kary aha bhavany aham bhuvi gaura-kirtanam iha bravany aham
mangalam prati-janam muhur muhuh
ka - what; gatih - the goal; iha - here; madiya-janmani - onm my  life; kavya-kary - an author of poetry; aha - aha; bhavany - poems;  aham - I; bhuvi - in the world; gaura - of Lord Gaura; kirtanam - the  glorification; iha - here; bravany - will speak; aham - I;  mangalam - auspicious; prati-janam - to every person; muhur muhuh - again  and again.
What shall I do with this lifetime� I will become a poet To  everyone I meet I will tell the news of Lord Gaura.

varam varam varam datta
kim - why?; kim - why?; kim - why?; gaura - for Lord Gaura; prema - of  love; abja - of the lotus flower; bijam - the seed; na - not;  arohaty - grows; adya - today; eva - indeed; mat-hrt - of my heart;  mar�-akhyayam - the desert; bhumyam - place; varam - again;  varam - and again; varam - and again; datta - placed.
Why did the lotus flower of love for Lord Gaura never grow  when again and again I planted it in the desert of my heart?

bhumih prakampeta yadacirena
sri-gaura-namna natanais ca nityam tada prakampa-karanesu daivat
smareta man-nama janah sukhena
bhumih - the earth; prakampeta - will tremble; yada - when;  acirena - soon; sri�-gaura-namna - with the name of Lord Gaura;  natanais - with dancing; ca - and; nityam - always; tada - then;  prakampa-karanesu - among the causes of the trembling; daivat - by  destony; smareta - may remember; man-nama - my name; janah - the people;  sukhena - easily.
Soon the earth will shake with dancing and with the singing of Lord Gaura's names I pray that when that day comes the  people will remember my name as one of the persons who helped  to make it so.

paraparadha-dharmakah ksamasva mam hare gaura
dehi me sadhu-dharmakam
pasandy - an offender; aham - I; ahah - Oh; nityam - always;  paraparadha-dharmakah - naturally offensive to others;  ksamasva - please forgive; mam - me; hare - O Hari; gaura - O Gaura;  dehi - please give; me - me; sadhu-dharmakam - the nature of a saintly  devotee.
I am an offender To offend others is my nature O Lord  Gaura please forgive me Please change my nature Please make me  a saintly devotee.

prakirtayadbhih hari-nama-vrndam
bhaktair natadbhih sva-janair vrto yah langhan pranrtyaty ahahaiva premna
drsyeta drgbhyam mama gaura-krsnah
prakirtayadbhih - chanting; hari-nama-vrndam - the name sof Lord  Krsna; bhaktaih - by devotewes; natadbhih - dancing; sva-janaih - by  associates; vrtah - surrounded; yah - who; langhan - leaping;  pranrtyaty - dances; ahaha - aha; eva - indeed; premna - with love;  drsyeta - may beseen; drgbhyam - by the eyes; mama - of me; gaura- krsnah - Lord Gaura-Krsna.
Surrounded by devotees singing the holy names Lord Gaura- Krsna leaps and dances pushed by love for His beloved I pray  that some day I will see Him with my own eyes.

modo bhuvane 'stu lokamita-modah
bhaktesta ihaiva
sri�-gaura - of Lord Gaura; padabja - of the lotus feet;  modah - fragrance; bhuvane - in the world; astu - is; loka - of the people;  amita - limitless; modah - happiness; bhakta - by the devotees;  ista - worshiped iha - here; eva - indeed.
May the fragrance of Lord Gaura's lotus feet enter this  world a fragrance that makes everyone wild with bliss.

senapati-vrndam sri-gaura-su-sainyam
lokam vijayeta
giti - of songs; isa - masters; nata - of dancing;  isa - masters; senapati-vrndam - a host of generals; sri�-gaura-su- sainyam - the army of Lord Gaura; lokam - the world; vijayeta - will  conquer.
One day the armies of Lord Gaura will conquer the earth  armies led by singers and dancers.

prarthana-varasya maune
manase madiya istah purna-karano bhaveta
srila-gauracandradevah
prarthana-varasya - of the best of requests; maune - in  silence; manase - in the mind; madiya - my; istah - desired;  purna - fulfilled; karanah - the cause; bhaveta - may become; srila- gauracandradevah - Lord Gaura.
The request I never speak stays in my heart I pray Lord  Gaura will fulfill it.

mamakaya duhkhitaya sad-dayaluta-gunam sri-
srila-gauracandra dehi
krura - cruel; manasaya - hear; deva - O Lord; mamakaya - my;  duhkhitaya - unhappy; sad-dayaluta - of mercy; gunam - the quality;  sri�-srila-gauracandra - O Lord Gaura; dehi - please give.
My heart is cruel O Lord Gauracandra please touch it and  make it kind.

nrtya-karako bhavani
gaura - O Gaura; ity - thus; ahah - Oh; sada - always; eva - indeed;  gayan - singing; nrtya-karakah - dancing; bhavani - I will be.
May I become like a wild man dancing and singing the names  Gaura, Gaura!"

bhupa nrsamsa-gunatam bhuvi vismaranti
kamandhaka mrgajalam bhuvi vismaranti sathyam satha ha ha ha ha bhuvi vismaranti
sri-gaura-matta-hrdayas ca natanti sarve
bhupah - the kings; nrsamsa-gunatam - cruelty; bhuvi - in the  world; vismaranti - forget; kamandhaka - they who are blinded by  lust; mrgajalam - the mirage; bhuvi - in the world; vismaranti - forget;  sathyam - cheating; satha - the cheaters; ha ha ha ha - aha!;  bhuvi - in the world; vismaranti - forget; sri�-gaura-matta- hrdayas - intoxicated by Lord Gaura; ca - and; natanti - dance;  sarve - all.
The cheaters have forgotten to cheat The tyrants have  forgotten to be cruel The hedonists have forgotten to chase  after the mirage of sense pleasure Everyone is wildly singing and  dancing intoxicated by the fragrance of Lord Gaura's lotus feet.

gauda-desa-ravi-koti-kotika-
lasitojjvala-sudha-varaptaye  bhakta-pujita-padambujaya ca
srila-gauraharaye namamy aham
gauda-desa - in the country of Gauda; ravi - of suns; koti- kotika - millions and millions; lasita - ujjvala - shining;  sudha - nectar; vara - best; aptaye - for attaining; bhakta - by the  devotees; pujita - worshiped; padambujaya - lotus feet; ca - and;  srila-gauraharaye - to Lord Gaurahari; namamy aham - I bow.
I offer my respectful obeisances to Lord Gaura-Hari who is  splendid like a million suns rising on the horizon of Gauda- desa.

yada tadaivadya kalir bhayena  sahasra-ghorakrtir adya kopi
kim kim kim artham prapalayate kim
sri�-gaura gaura - O Sri Gaura; iti - thus; bruvama - we say;  uccaih - loudly; yada - when; tada - then; eva - indeed; adya - now;  kalih - Kali; bhayena - with fear; sahasra - a thousand; ghora - gruesome;  akrtih - forms; adya - now; kopi - angry; kim - why?; kim - why?; kim  artham - why?; prapalayate - flees; kim - why?
A moment ago Kali-yuga surrounded us with a thousand  gruesome and ferocious forms Why did he flee when we called out  Gaura, Gaura!?

hattat palayanta ihaiva vaisyah kim kim kim artham t� iha gaura-gitir
gayanti nrtyanti ca sarva-lokah
aisyat - from royal power; palayanta - flee; iha - here;  eva - indeed; bhupa - kings; hattat - from the marketplace;  palayanta - flee; iha - here; eva - indeed; vaisyah - merchants; kim - why?;  kim - why?; kim artham - why?; tv - indeed; iha - here; gaura-gitih - songs of  Lord Gaura; gayanti - sing; nrtyanti - dance; ca - and; sarva- lokah - everyone.
The merchants have fled the market The kings have fled from  thrones and palaces Why is everyone wildly dancing and singing Gaura,  Gaura!?

sangita-prapurnam sri-gaura-subhabja-
vaktram abhivande
sri�-kesava - of Lord Krsna; nama - the names; sangita - songs;  prapurnam - filled; sri�-gaura - of Lord gaura; subha - auspicious;  abja - lotus;  vaktram - mouth; abhivande - I bow.
I offer my respectful obeisances to Lord Gaura's graceful  lotus mouth always singing the nectar names of Lord Krsna.

san nrtyata istam sri-gaura-varasya
padambuja-yugmam
gaude - in Gauda-desa; pathi - on the pathways; vande - I bow;  san - being so; nrtyata - danicng; istam - worshiped; sri�-gaura- varasya - of Lord Gaura; padambuja-yugmam - the lotus feet.
I offer my respectful obeisances to Lord Gaura's feet which  danced on the pathways of Gauda-desa.

namami - I bow; bhaktya - with devotion; satatam - always;  pranamrah - bowing; ksiptaya - toseed; surdhve - up; natatah - dancing; sukhena - happily; sri�-krsna-krsneti - Krsna, Krsna!;  pragayatah - singing; sri�-sri�-srila-gaurasya - of Lord Gaura;  bhujambujaya - to the lotus arms.
I offer my respectful obeisances to Lord Gaura's lotus arms  raised up as He dances and sings the names of Lord Krsna.

I offer my respectful obeisances to Lord Gaura-Hari who is  overcome with love for Lord Krsna the glorious Supreme  Personality of Godhead who enjoys pastimes in Gokula's forests.

loka - of the world; loka - of the people; subha - auspicious;  karana - cause; krsna - of Lord Krsna; prema-bhakti-vara - of loving  devotional service; siksana - of instruction; datre - to the  giver; bhumi-loke - in the world; avatara-karasya - incarnating; srila- gauraharaye - to Lord Gaurahari; pranamami - I bow.
I offer my respectful obeisances to Lord Gaura the teacher  of devotion who descended to this world to teach the people hou to love Him.

kirtito 'sti paramayuta-padyaih  veda-murtibhir aho pasu tasmai

yasya - of whom; loka-vasudha - to the earth; su - transcendental;  avatarah - incarnation; kirtitah - glorified; asti - is;  paramayuta - millions; padyaih - with verses; veda-murtibhih - the  Vedas personified; ahah - aha; pasu - see; tasmai - to Him; srila- gauraharaye - Lord Gaurahari; pranamami - I bow.
I offer my respectful obeisances to Lord Gaura whose  descent into this world the Vedas personified predicted in a  thousand verses.

badhita ku-kavi-darsana-kotih tarki-sangha-paramesa-varaya
srila-gauraharaye pranamami
yena - by whom; gitibhih - with songs; ahah - aha; bhuvi - in the world;  hatte - in the marketplace; badhita - refuted; ku - bewildered;  kavi - of philosophers; darsana - of philosophies; kotih - millions;  tarki - of philosophers; sangha - of the host; paramesa-varaya - to  the best; srila-gauraharaye - Lord Gaurahari; pranamami - I bow.
I offer my respectful obeisances to Lord Gaura who by  singing songs in the marketplace refuted the thousand competing  philosophies.

vrndavane sundara-kuja-vrnde
na venu-vadyasya sudham karoti sa eva bhaktaih hari-nama-gitih
karoti bhaktyadya harir vilasi
vrndavane - in Vrndavana; sundara-kuja-vrnde - with many  beautiful groves; na - not; venu-vadyasya - of playing the flute;  sudham - nectar; karoti - does; sa - he; eva - indeed; bhaktaih - by devotees;  hari-nama-gitih - singing the names of Lord Krsna; karoti - does;  bhaktya - with devotion; adya - now; harih - Lord Hari; vilasi - playful  and splendid.
No longer does He play the flute in the beautiful forest of  Vraja Now surrounded by the singing devotees He loudly sings  the holy names of Lord Hari.

vraja-vipina-vare vamsi-
madhu-madhura-sudha-dhara iha bhavati harer nama-
madhu-madhura-sudha-dhara
vraja-vipina-vare - in the forest of Vraja; vamsi - of the  flute; madhu-madhura - very sweet; sudha - of nectar; dhara - flood;  iha - here; bhavati - is; hareh - of Lord Hari nama - the name; madhu- madhura-sudha-dhara - a very sweet flood of nectar.
A nectar stream of flute music has now become a nectar  stream of the holy names of Lord Hari

sri-nityananda-himsakau  yatha tathaiva devesah
sri-gaurangah ksameta mam
caksame - forgave; papinau - sinners; dhurtau - wicked; sri�- nityananda-himsakau - who attacked Lord Nity.ananda; yatha - as;  tatha - so; eva - indeed; devesah - the master of the demigods; sri�- gaurangah - Lord Gaura; ksameta - may forgive; mam - me.
May Lord Gaura who forgave the two sinners that attacked  Lord Nityananda also forgive me.

'nrtyatam yasya lasite mama manasa-margesu
sa sri-gaurah pranrtyatu
navadvipe - in Navadvipa; padambhoje - lotus feet;  anrtyatam - danced; yasya - of whom; lasite - splendid; mama - of me;  manasa - of the heart; margesu - on the pathways; sa - he; sri�- gaurah - Lord Gaura; pranrtyatu - may dance.
May Lord Gaura whose lotus feet danced on the pathways of  Navadvipa dance in my thoughts.

mleccham navadvipa-nrpam nrsamsam
yo bhartsayam asa sukhena harmye smeran sa devesvara-pujitanghrih
sri-gauracandrah hrdaye mamastu
mleccham - a barbarian; navadvipa-nrpam - the king of  Navadvipa; nrsamsam - cruel; yah - who; bhartsayam asa - threatened;  sukhena - happily; harmye - in the palace; smeran - smiling; sa - He;  devesvara-pujitanghrih - whose feet are worshiped by the great demigods; sri�-gauracandrah - Lord Gaura; hrdaye - in the heart;  mama - of me; astu - may be.
May Lord Gaura who smiled as He playfully threatened the  mleccha ruler of Navadvipa always stay in my heart.

sardula-hasti-prabhrtin vilasi
pranartayam asa hi jangalesu sangapayam asa natan pragayan
sri-gauracandrah hrdaye mamastu
sardula - tigers; hasti - and elephants;  prabhrtin - beginning with; vilasi - playful; pranartayam  asa - made to dance; hi - indeed; jangalesu - in the jungles;  sangapayam asa - made to sing; natan - dancing; pragayan - singing;  sri�-gauracandrah - Lord Gaura; hrdaye - in the heart; mama - of me;  astu - may be.
May Lord Gaura who made the tigers and elephants in  the jungle dance and sing the holy names, always stay in my heart.

yasyaiva dasaih jagati sudhaughaih
prapurita sri-hari-nama-vrndaih sri-gauracandrah karunamayo yo
manvita mam tasya padabja-dasam
yasya - of whom; eva - indeed; dasaih - by servants; jagati - the  world; sudha - of nectar; aughaih - with floods; prapurita - filled;  sri�-hari - of Lord Krsna; nama-vrndaih - with the holy names; sri�- gauracandrah - Lord Gaura; karunamayah - merciful; yah - who; manvita - may  think; mam - of me; tasya - of him; padabja-dasam - the servant of the  lotus feet.
May Lord Gaura whose devotees fill the worlds with the  sounds of His names count me among the servants of His lotus  feet.
