Re: Avidvad-rudhi and vidvad-rudhi

Dear Matus, Nityananda!! Gauranga!! Hare Krishna!! The meaning of rudhi-vrtti is "direct or primary meaning or sense". When this term is further qualified by the adjective vidvad (learned) it becomes "the realized direct meaning". Avidvad rudhi basically means unrealized knowledge which we may think is the direct meaning. So, what Shrila Prabhupada Bhaktisiddhanta is stating is that only the realization of achintya bhedaabheda philosophy (simultaneous oneness and difference with the Lord) will help us to come to the platform of understanding the actual direct meaning of each and every word in creation in relation to the Lord and attain the platform of vidvad rudhi which is also known as Vaikuntha Naama in the Shrimad Bhagavatam.

Daaso'smi, BR Sadhu Swami Gaurangapada.
