Re: Chanting, Asanas and Mudras
Nityaananda! Gauraanga! Hare Krishna! On the stage of Raganuga Bhakti, none of the asanas and mudras matter because one has awakened one's spontaneous attraction and attachment for the Lord's Name and Pastimes. The Raganuga devotees, being already situated in advanced consciousness of the Lord, may not use mudras and asanas, because it unnecessarily brings them down to bodily consciousness in some way. Though they may be helpful for the Vaidhi Bhakti devotees to attain the higher stage, especially to aid focussed meditation during the chanting of the Holy Names.
Daaso'smi, Swami Gaurangapada.
