Re: Questions about Rama Navami
Nityaananda! Gauraanga! Hare Krishna! Dear Jagannatha Gauranga dasa, I understand that the fasting days are sometimes hard when you have to work hard physically during the day. Lord Nitaai, Lord Gaura, Lord Advaita, Shri Gadadhara, Lord Balarama, Lord Krishna, Shrimati Radha, Lord Raama and Lord Nrisingha are the main principal Forms of the eternal Vishnu and Shakti Tattva. So it is good if we fast at least from grains on at least all these days other than the Ekadashi fasting days.
Is it possible that you can make up the calorie loss for these extra fasting days of Lord Raama, Lord Nrisingha etc/ by taking some non-grain food alternatives like coconut water, milk and other milk products like paneer etc., yoghurt, dried fruits, nuts, good steamed vegetables including sweet potatoes etc., fruits like bananas, mangoes, avocados etc., fruit juices, water chestnut flour chapatis, zucchini or squash, etc.? If this is possible, then nothing like it.
