Gurudev so nicely said that our knowledge of scriptures helps us to recognize a guru to whom we become ready to surrender.

Here I think we don't need to be extrememly advanced in the knowledge of scriptures. Reading few basic basics of Shrila Prabhupada, BG, Nityananda Gauranga Naam book and knowlege via associating with devotees is than enough.

Since the last 2 yrs I  personally used to think that I have a lot of knowledge and thus used to ask very challenging questions to so many devotees. My questions were very complicated and devotees could not answer them. Similarly thinking myself too smart I also asked Swamiji complicated questions when I met him for the first time. However he expertly broke all my doubts into pieces. The more I kept asking him the more my pride broke and I realized that I was certainly the greatest fool. Since then I became very fond of him and my love for him has kept growing as I realized that he is not someone ordinary and I am certainly very safe at his lotus feet.
