Japa Beads vs The Clicker

I recently was part of a conversation about the use of the clicker rather than beads....the devotee was explaining that they were chanting on a clicker because they felt that some chanting was better than nothing. I prefer chanting on my beads...it's Tulasi - a pure devotee of Krsna....it also helps with my concentration by fingering the beads.
I have never used a clicker myself but have noticed that some use them when they are in a public place or it's easier to use a clicker and do other things at the same time....for me it's not about clicking or not clicking, it's about placing yourself in an atmosphere that's going to give you the best chance of attentive and quality Japa where you can hear yourself properly.
