QlipMedia.com - Simple Presentations
What it does
QlipBoard is a sort of kitschy throwback to slideshows and show and tell. The site lets users create presentations with voice over narration on top of Flickr photos or even YouTube videos. Users can easily narrate their vacation pics, create clip shows with comedic asides thrown in, or even collaborate on a homework assignment. The possibilities are many with this flexible app. You’ve got three basic tools to work with: a pencil, a highlighter and a text cursor. You can add narration while you’re drawing over your slides or videos. Editing is done via drag and drop. There are a succession of frames at the bottom of your QulipBoard screen which represent your content; simply move back and forward to edit your work. When you’re finished you can send your presentation to anyone in the world for free. Different packages are available.
In their own words
“Talk faster than you type? Want to post fun stuff on Photobucket or YouTube? Want an easy tool (did we tell you it is free!) that lets you express your creative self? Then QlipBoard is for you!
What can you do with QlipBoardTM? Make narrated slide shows of your vacation. Show off your home for sale. Get help with your homework. Invite someone to a party. Talk to your friends in other countries without having to wake up at odd hours. The possibilities are endless!â€
Why it might be a killer
This is a cool little app. It’s user friendly and pretty intuitive. Although simple, it’s fun to use and it does work quite well.
Some questions
How is this site going to market itself? Will users find the features too limited? How easy is it to pull in content from other sites (e.g. Flickr)?
