Gratitude and Japa
Hare Krsna dear Prabhus. Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Sri Sri Guru and Gauranga.
It is essential for myself as an aspiring Bhakta to understand where actually I have received the mercy to have access to sri-krsna-nama. That actually, my only connection to Sri-Krsna-nama is due to the mercy of Srila Prabhupada, who is distributing freely the mercy of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, the Panca-tattva and the Six Goswamis. Any bliss that I feel while chanting is directly due to his mercy!
Then naturally a feeling of gratitude comes and leads to real humility, and is the way to develop the humble mood described in the 3rd verse of the Siksastakam. Then in chanting in this mood, the desire to chant enhances greatly, simultaneous with the desire to please the pure devotee.
All Vaishnavas naturally feel gratitude to the pure devotees who have distributed Krsna-bhakti freely coming in the line of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu. This gratitude and our process of japa should be intimately connected.
